Welcome to Nenagh Children's Film Festival, now in it's fourth year, a weekend of screenings, workshops and Q&A's dedicated to our creative youth. In 2023 we will host a blended festival of online and in person activities and look forward to showcasing the very best in animation & film.

Nenagh Children's Film Festival is established to support Film and Filmmakers who create work for young audiences. As an international festival we welcome submissions from all over the world from professionals and students alike.

Our submission categories are:
- Professional: working full time in film or animation
- First Time Filmmaker: the film submitted is the first professional film
- Student: 18+ in full time third level education
- Schools/Youth Organisations: 8-15 years, submissions through a school representative or Teacher

The 3 day festival, from 9th - 11th June 2023, will include short film & animated screenings, and student screenings as well workshops for young people.

Awards will be given in a number of categories including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Film, Best Animation, Best Student, Best School, Best Voice Over, Best First Time Film Maker, Best Documentary, Best Sound Design.

- All films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles
- All films submitted should be suitable for children and young people up to 15 years.
- Films should be no longer than 20 minutes
- A copy of current Student ID must be submitted - third level students 18+
- All in-bound & out-bound costs shall be covered by the applicant.
- Once the film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the festival programme
- The films must be original and the applicant will take all responsibilities for any copyright infringements
- The Festival does not offer cash awards
- The Festival does not pay screening fees
- The Festival does not pay for accommodation
