Upon submitting a film for consideration to MONSTER FEST, the submitter acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. The submitter holds relevant copyrights for the submitted film and agrees to screen it at MONSTER FEST should it be selected for the program.

2. The submitter understands that submitting a film does not guarantee entry into the festival program and that no refunds will be issued for submission fees for films not selected.

3. The festival notification date refers to when successful entrants will be informed. Unsuccessful submitters will also be notified, but this may happen after the specified notification date due to the festival staff's heavy workload during this time. Patience in this regard is appreciated.

MONSTER FEST only accepts submissions electronically, utilising online screeners via FilmFreeway. This allows your film to be seen by the whole programming team and thus increases its chances of being selected.

Had a great time screening our film 'VERMIN' as part of Monster Fest's student film program. Very hospitable team that works hard to celebrate up and coming filmmakers, and Melbourne's Cinema Nova is a wonderful venue to see your work in. Recommend!

  • It was such an honour that XARAX had its Australian Premiere at Monster Fest! The programming, communication, and overall festival vibe were top-notch — passionate, well-organized, and full of love for genre cinema. Grant and the team were wonderful to work with and made the whole process seamless. I only wish I could’ve attended in person to see the film with that amazing Melbourne audience! Huge thanks to everyone at Monster Fest for championing horror and independent filmmakers the way you do.

So stoked we had our Australian premiere with Monster Fest! Our short BORGLESQUE had the honor of being programmed as part of the Trasharama program. We didn't get to attend, but both the Monster Fest team and Dick Dale of Trasharama-agogo were super communicative and made the experience seamless. Hope to screen again in the future with our next project!
