Jay Jay Jegathesan is an Oscar‑qualified film producer, director, actor, and narrator working across animation, narrative, and live action. As producer and narrator across a slate of award‑winning Australian short films, his work has screened at major international festivals including Animafest Zagreb, Short Shorts Asia (Tokyo), Flickerfest, Sydney Film Festival, AFI Fest, Warsaw, and SITGES, contributing to over 60 Academy Award–qualifying festival selections worldwide.

An accomplished actor with multiple international Best Actor awards and World Monologe Games podium finishes, Jay Jay has delivered standout performances in films including Soul Catcher, The Saint, The Emerald Wasp, An Artist’s Curse, and Catch & Release. His stage and voice career spans over 25 years across Australia, Malaysia, and Japan.

His work has screened at over 2,400 festivals in 60 countries, earning more than 800 awards and including an AACTA nomination. Combining producing leadership with creative authorship, Jay Jay is recognised for shaping not only the films themselves, but how they travel through the international festival ecosystem.
