Jaime Morados is a director and producer based in Binan City whose works have been selected and awarded in local and international film festivals. As a director, he was mentioned in CNN Philippines’ Best Filipino Films of 2022 for his award-winning film AGA-HIW, THE DREAMER (2022) and is widely known for ANG PAGLILIGTAS SA DALAGANG BUKID (Saving the Country Maiden, 2022), which was part of QCinema International Film Festival Shorts 2022. His most recent work, THIS IS HOW HER HOME WAS BUILT (2023), is a mixed-media short film in collaboration with Australia-based non-profit Engagemedia. The film is currently touring across universities and human rights festivals across Asia, promoting education against historical distortion and misinformation.
Jaime is also an alumnus of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival’s subprogram Network of Asian Fantastic Films Film School 2024. He is a resident filmmaker and collaborator at Archipelago, founded by Keith Deligero and Gale Osorio—a film production boutique that nurtures emerging filmmakers into bold film auteurs from all over the Philippine archipelago. With his early experience in film, he helps guide first-time filmmakers in Kapengmukha Productions, which sparked with Sine Kabataan’s NALUMOS AKONG PAPA SA SABAW (My Father Drowned in Soup; 2023). The film screened in Jakarta Film Week and multiple film festivals across the Philippines. In his films, he playfully mixes fantasy, comedy, and drama, with his love for Philippine history and culture.
