Two brothers discuss a family that has taken control of the Philippines, erasing the origins of their homeland and everything around it. Julia, a young woman feeling lost in her city, witnesses the rise and fall of her home through its various versions. As the cityscape transforms into different realities, the lines between truth and fabrication blur. Julia and the brothers must navigate the fragments of her existence to uncover the truth about her home and find a sense of understanding.

Director Biography - Jaime Morados

Jaime Morados is a Filipino director and producer based in Binan City whose works have been selected and awarded in local and international film festivals. As a director, he was mentioned in CNN Philippines’ Best Filipino Films of 2022 for his award-winning film AGA-HIW, THE DREAMER (2022) and is widely known for ANG PAGLILIGTAS SA DALAGANG BUKID (Saving the Country Maiden; 2022) which was part of QCinema International Film Festival Shorts. His most recent work THIS IS HOW HER HOME WAS BUILT (2023) is a mixed-media short film in collaboration with Australia-based nonprofit, Engagemedia. The film is currently touring across universities and human rights festivals across Asia, promoting education against historical distortion and misinformation. With his early experience in film, he helps guide first-time filmmakers in Kapengmukha Productions which sparked with Sine Kabataan’s NALUMOS AKONG PAPA SA SABAW (My Father Drowned in Soup; 2023). The film won the Jury Prize award, and is currently making its rounds in multiple film festivals across the Philippines. Jaime is also a resident filmmaker and collaborator at Archipelago, founded by award-winning filmmakers, Keith Deligero and Gale Osorio. A film production boutique that nurtures emerging filmmakers into bold film auteurs from all over the Philippine archipelago. In Jaime’s films, he playfully mixes fantasy, comedy, and drama, with his love for Philippine history and culture.
