Dublin International Film Awards stands as a passionate advocate for emerging film talent, providing a dynamic seasonal platform that serves as both a showcase and a meeting ground for filmmakers, industry professionals, and the local audience alike. Our festival prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive ethos, where the works of up-and-coming filmmakers are woven into an international tapestry of cinematic excellence. We firmly believe that fostering international collaboration is essential to the growth of filmmakers, recognizing that it is through the cross-pollination of ideas and perspectives that true innovation thrives. Our festival serves not only to champion the significance of short films in nurturing the filmmakers of tomorrow but also as a launchpad for partnerships that can shape the future of cinema.
Our rigorous selection process is a two-fold journey. Firstly, all submitted projects undergo meticulous evaluation through private screenings conducted by our dedicated internal programming team. They curate a selection of semi-finalist films, representing the cream of each edition's crop. Subsequently, the festival's esteemed panel of jurors, composed of a diverse array of invited experts primarily from the film industry, embarks on a private review of the films, ultimately bestowing honors upon the most outstanding projects. Winners of our awards are granted not only the prestigious official laurel but also a coveted achievement certificate, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the world of cinema. We celebrate our winners through active promotion on our social media platforms, ensuring that their talents receive the recognition they truly deserve.
Furthermore, a select few of our winning projects are earmarked for consideration in our online event, offering filmmakers an additional opportunity to showcase their work to a broader audience and industry professionals. At Dunlin International Film Awards, we are committed to nurturing emerging talent and providing a launching pad for the next generation of cinematic storytellers. Join us in this exciting journey of discovery and collaboration as we celebrate the art of filmmaking in all its diverse forms.

  • I am deeply grateful to the festival and the jury for recognizing my work. My film begins in a Korea that was still healing—poor, wounded, and trying to survive after war. Yet even then, people shared what little they had—especially family and neighbors. I wanted to bring back that warmth, because it is part of who we are. Thank you for giving this story a place to be heard and felt.
