Based in Southern California, Dave spent his childhood studying film on his living room couch and honing his craft on his dad's dinosaur of a computer. After graduating in 2020 with a bachelor's in media studies, he spent the next few years sharpening his skills as a writer-director until 2024, when he wrote and directed his first short film, "DOGMA", which starred his own dog. The film was named a Finalist at Animalis Fabula '24 in San Antonio, TX.
With his sophomore film, "RIGHT ON!", Dave tackled the subject of writer's block through a unique and stylized lens. The film began its festival circuit run by taking home Best of Fest, Best Live-Action Fiction, and the Audience Choice Award at the 2025 Inland Film Festival in San Bernardino, CA.
Dave also writes screenplays on spec with the intent to direct them himself or possible option off. His 100-page mafia dramedy, "PEPPERONI DRAGONS" earned a Semifinalist placement with the SoCal Screenplay Competition (2024).
As an enthusiast of all films, Dave does not restrict himself to any one genre or style, instead choosing to focus on stories that inspire people to reflect on their own values and ideals.
