Director Biography - Dave Rosas

Based in SoCal, Dave spent his childhood studying film on his living room couch and honing his craft on his dad's dinosaur of a computer. After graduating in 2020 with a bachelor's in media studies, he spent the next few years sharpening his skills as a writer-director until 2024, when he wrote and directed his first short film, "DOGMA", which starred his own dog. As an enthusiast of all films, Dave does not restrict himself to any one genre or style, instead choosing to focus on stories that inspire people to reflect on their own values and ideals.

Director Statement

"DOGMA" is a film about our personal dogmas through the lens of something many can relate to - adopting and bringing a new dog home for the first time. The film serves to show how easy it is to blur the line between what we believe versus what we know, often to the detriment of our own personal values.
