Lockdown (2020), co-directed with Katarzyna Nowak-McNeice as McNovak, is where it began: a black comedy about two humans and two cats sealed in an apartment, turning on each other until only the cats remain — the final image is one cat's subtitled thoughts, certain the other means to kill her too.

Claustrophilia (2021), also a McNovak film, turns the same trap to horror: a woman shut in her apartment who comes to prefer the prison to the world outside. Screened at seven festivals, winning six.

In development: The Mistress, a feature-length psychological chamber piece where a wealthy socialite and her personal assistant are locked in the assistant's apartment as the world disintegrates around them.
