UMBERTIDEAD is a small indie festival in Umbertide town, in Umbria, in the centre of Italy, near Perugia, Firenze and Bologna, dedicated to Fantastic, Horror and Sci-Fi (or how we say in Italian, fantascienza).
The 8th edition will be August 25, 2025 at the Piattaforma open air cinema in Umbertide, Italy.

Rules & Terms

We seek independent short films from around the world in the following genre:
- Horror
- Sci-Fi

SHORT FILM ELIGIBILITY:

- All shorts entered must be original work and have all rights secured by the filmmaker
- The shorts must have been completed within the last 5 years.
- Run time of between 1 and 10 minutes
- Films in a language other than Italian must be subtitled in Italian or English

Submitting is easy: we accept secure online screeners and links on Vimeo and Youtube, but only with a valid FilmFreeway reference.

DO NOT SEND PRESS PACKS, PHOTOS, TESTIMONIALS OR ANYTHING ELSE WITH YOUR SUBMISSION - it is a waste of time and paper. If we accept your film we will ask for the other things we need.
