Endorsed by Director Mark Polish, known for for Twin Falls Idaho (1999), Murmur (2022) and The Astronaut Farmer (2006), "The Art of Movie Making Film Fest is a tremendous and unique opportunity for behind-the-scenes talent in the film industry. Anyone who is working on special effects, props, costumes, makeup, and other below the line roles and contributing to the arts of film should consider submitting."

The Art of Movie Making Film Festival, affectionately known as the TAMMIES, is not your typical film fest. This Fest focuses on the artists who create the props, sets, costumes, special effects, and other behind-the-scenes elements of film and television production and is a celebration of the creative and technical work that goes into bringing stories to life on screen. These are the unsung heroes of movie magic who are not usually granted categories in Film Fests.

Not only do we have our signature awards event in NYC in June, throughout the year we host education events and regional summits that are relevant to the makers behind the scenes. Check our events list on the website at www.tammff.com/events.

That said, our festival provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers, fans, and industry professionals to come together and appreciate the art and craftsmanship that goes into creating memorable and immersive film and television experiences. Our goal is not only to celebrate these talented artists but also give them an opportunity to gain credibility for their portfolio and get connected to studios and production companies that hire these types of artists and makers for their feature length films.

READ BEFORE SUBMITTING
**NOTE** This is not your typical film fest. Because our focus in on the maker's and not the overall film you do not have to share the entire film with us. We will need to see, however, enough of the film to appropriately determine if the artwork you contributed is making the appropriate impact to the entire story - meaning it works, it does what it was meant to do, and it does that thing well. If you have trouble submitting using your FilmFreeway project, please contact us.

ELIGIBILITY
All submissions must feature the work of prop makers, costume designers, set designers, or other behind-the-scenes artists, as described in the categories.

PERMISSIONS
Submitters must have permission of the film creators to submit the entire film or the clip that contains enough information about the featured art for the judges to make an accurate rating.

Don't have access to your movie artistry? Try contacting your director or producer and asking them to submit on your behalf.

CREATION DATES
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2019.
Films must be in English or have English subtitles.

DISCRETION
While we accept adult themed films, we reserve the right to disqualify films that would not be fitting for a general audience.

HARASSMENT
Submitters who harass us with questions, demands, and comments may be disqualified. We work hard to bring you this event and over-communicating will not make us work any faster.

SUBMITTION REQUIREMENTS
Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway.
A completed entry form, including a synopsis of the film, production credits, and a still image from the film of the featured artist's work must be included.
A preview link to a secure online screener of the film or clip for festival consideration.

TROPHIES
Trophies will be available for purchase by the winners at cost plus shipping. We will do our best to accommodate international winners but can not guarantee that we can ship internationally nor that even if we did it would arrive as tracking stops once it leaves the border.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Film creator's works will judged and selected based on:
Originality
Creativity
Craftsmanship
Performance
Technical Execution
Authenticity
Attention to detail
Functionality
Relevance

Overall Rating
Quality
Value
Communication
Hospitality
Networking

I was really glad to have been chosen to have my film screened at this festival. I love the name of the fest. Film is an art. The festival was very prompt in communicating with me. Thank you for allowing me to be a part.

Glad I didn’t waste money on a trip to this event, because after a year of anticipation they cut my accepted submission along with a bunch of others. Overextended themselves to milk as much money out of submissions as possible. Very unprofessional.

    Response from festival:

Hi Noelle, we are sorry that you feel this way. The selection committee enjoyed your film and it was nominated but ultimately didn't win. We had a ton of submissions in the puppet category. Feel free to email us and we'll be happy to share our feedback. All the best. -Team TAMMFF

We at Amerikids Productions are thrilled and honored to announce that our Endanger Game Series has won the Best 3D Game award at The Art of Movie Making Film Festival (TAMMFF). This recognition validates our mission to create engaging content that addresses critical global issues.
Our team poured their hearts and souls into developing the Endanger Game Series, set in the stunning landscapes of Kenya. We aimed to create an immersive experience that not only engrosses players about the urgent threat facing African elephants. By tasking players with capturing Lord's Resistance Army poachers, we've found a way to make wildlife conservation interactive and personally involving.
Winning at TAMMFF is particularly meaningful to us because the festival shares our commitment to projects that transcend traditional entertainment. They understand, as we do, the power of digital media to raise awareness and inspire action on pressing environmental issues.
We're especially proud of our winning trailer, which showcases the high-quality visuals and engaging gameplay that define the Endanger Game Series. We encourage everyone to watch it online and get a taste of the adventure that awaits. https://bit.ly/EndangerSeries
This award from TAMMFF motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of what gaming can achieve. We believe that by combining entertainment with social consciousness, we can reach new audiences and make a real difference in the fight against elephant poaching.
We're grateful to TAMMFF for providing a platform that celebrates innovative, socially responsible projects like ours. This recognition reinforces our belief that gaming can be a powerful tool for change, and we're more committed than ever to creating experiences that entertain, educate, and inspire action.
We invite everyone to join us on this important mission by watching our trailer. Together, we can make a difference in the fight to save endangered species in Kenya and beyond.

What a wonderful festival! I welcome the concept that recognizes the talent and hard work of everyone involved. The organizers love film and the craft of filmmaking, and it shows. The screening event was so fun and well-organized, the film blocks and Q&A are thoughtful, amazing new work was discovered and they create an atmosphere of comradery that makes you feel like you've walked into a room of old friends. Thank you for including our short film. I hope to be back one day.
