Friendly Neighbourhood Cinema presents...
SHUTTLE SHORTS

A new 3-minute short film festival inspired by and celebrating Stourbridge Station's unique infamy as the smallest train line in Europe. Each film must be 3 minutes or under to ensure they can be watched in their entirety by passengers on the commute between stations.

The festival is being developed and selections curated by King Edward VI students, with oversight from George the Station Cat (Dept. Mouse Catcher).

A live screening will be held for students at King Edwards VI College, and then screening publicly at Stourbridge Train Stations.

To allow passengers to view the films in transit while riding the Stourbridge Shuttle, the films will be also be accessible online via scanning QR codes at Stourbridge Town & Junction railway stations. Any filmmaker is able to opt out of the online element for any reason.

After the Early Bird period (Feb 14th) has passed, there will be a £3 submission fee on Film Freeway up until the final deadline (March 7th). This helps support the festival and also deter bot submissions - but we have no interest in gatekeeping behind a paywall, so any filmmaker that would like to still submit for free can use the discount code “GEORGETHESTATIONCAT”. Filmmakers can also submit via email link at heyfnc@gmail.com.

Each film must be 3 minutes or less (okay, we can do 4 perhaps) to ensure they can be watched in their entirety on the commute between stations.
