The 2nd edition of SSISFF recently held its Iranian chapter in Azadi Cinema Complex in Tehran, Iran, and has announced a call for entries for its third edition. Stay tuned for further updates!

Awards:

Best International Short Film
• Trophy + Certificate + Cash Prize: Prizes will be awarded if a sponsor is available

Best Student Film
• Trophy + Certificate + Cash Prize: Prizes will be awarded if a sponsor is available

Best Iranian Short Film
• Trophy + Certificate + Cash Prize: Prizes will be awarded if a sponsor is available

Best Horror Short Film
• Trophy + Certificate +Cash Prize: Prizes will be awarded if a sponsor is available

1. General Conditions:
• All films must have been produced after January 2020.
• The duration of the films should be between 1 and 50 minutes.
• Acceptable categories include:
• Narrative Short Films
• Documentary Shorts
• Animated Shorts
• Commercial Teasers
• Music Videos

2. Prohibited Content:
• Pornographic films will be immediately disqualified and not considered for review.

3. Number of Submissions and Fees:
• Each director may submit one or multiple works.
• The submission fee for each film must be paid separately.

4. Awards:
• Cash prizes will be transferred to the winners immediately after the closing ceremony.

5. Student Section:
• Young filmmakers submitting works in the student section must be between 8 and 14 years old.

6. Payment Policy:
• To ensure fairness among all participants, no exemption codes for submission fees will be provided.

7. Specific Rules for Iranian Filmmakers:
• Iranian filmmakers are allowed to submit only one film.
• Before registering, they must send a link to their film for preliminary review via email.

8. Language and Subtitles:
• Films that are not in English must upload an English subtitle file in .srt format on the FilmFreeway platform.

  • Thank you for officially selecting Will You Come Up. From the third competition, there are prize money and trophies in the horror short film category. It was a pity that there were no prize money and trophies in this 2nd competition. I think it will revive a lot as a film festival where you can feel the passion and love for short films. Way to go!
