Mexico City Videodance Festival comes under the concept of generate a inclusive meeting point open to reflection between public, filmmakers, theoreticians and other professionals of dance and visual arts. Its purpose is to be a showcase for spreading contemporary quality proposals that address the choreography from cinematic language.

OPEN CALL
The Mexico City Videodance Festival, in collaboration with Red Nacional de Arte, invites choreographers, audiovisual producers, groups, companies and artists to register audiovisual works in the 8th edition of the FIVideodanza.
The festival will accept all kinds of works that articulate choreography with cinematographic language, from any body language and audiovisual support, regardless of whether they have a documentary, fiction or animation format, to mention some of the aesthetic possibilities. At the same time, the festival will also seek to program dance films with an environmental focus.
Each filmmaker may register a maximum of 5 works for consideration, national and foreign works, made between the period 2022-2024, with no minimum or maximum duration.
The works that will conform the Official Selection will be chosen by a committee, whose decision is final.
The selected works may be part of national and international exhibitions and events in which the festival participates during 2024.
The list of selected works will be published on the festival website and each participant will be contacted by email at festivalvideodanza@rednacionaldearte.com or festivalvideodanza@gmail.com
In case of particular conditions in the City, the selected films may be programmed online on the festival website (festivalvideodanza.com)
By participating, the applicant accepts the use of frames or segments of the registered piece for the dissemination and production of printed or electronic materials, such as trailers, posters, postcards, virtual catalog, to name a few.
An economic prize will be awarded to the best videodance, and honorable mentions will be given in Direction, Choreography, Photography, Editing, Sound Design and Art Design.
In case of not claiming the prize in the following 3 months, it will be understood that the winner renounces it, and it can be used to defray the expenses generated by the next edition of the festival.
The registration of works to the Festival implies the acceptance of the bases of this call and the waiver of any type of claim or legal action against the International Videodance Festival of Mexico City, Red Nacional de Arte, its representatives or affiliates. Any matter not specified in this call will be resolved by the organizers.

CONVOCATORIA ABIERTA
El Festival Internacional de Videodanza de la Ciudad de México, en colaboración con la Red Nacional de Arte, invita a coreógrafas, coreógrafos, productores audiovisuales, colectivos, compañías y artistas a inscribir sus obras en la 8ª edición de FIVideodanza.
El festival aceptará todo tipo de obras que articulen la coreografía con el lenguaje cinematográfico, desde cualquier lenguaje corporal y soporte audiovisual, independientemente de que tengan un formato documental, de ficción o de animación, por mencionar algunas de las posibilidades audiovisuales y estéticas. Al mismo tiempo, el festival también buscará programar películas de danza con enfoque ambiental.
Cada realizador(a) podrá inscribir un máximo de 5 obras a consideración, obras nacionales y extranjeras, realizadas entre el período 2022-2024, sin duración mínima ni máxima.
Las obras que conformarán la Selección Oficial serán elegidas por un comité, cuya decisión es inapelable.
Las obras seleccionadas podrán formar parte de exposiciones y eventos nacionales e internacionales en los que participe el festival durante 2024.
La lista de trabajos seleccionados se publicará en el sitio del festival y cada participante será contactado por correo electrónico de festivalvideodanza@rednacionaldearte.com o festivalvideodanza@gmail.com
En caso de condiciones particulares en la Ciudad, las películas seleccionadas podrán ser programadas en línea en el sitio web del festival (festivalvideodanza.com)
Al participar, el postulante acepta el uso de fotogramas o segmentos de la pieza inscrita para la difusión y producción de materiales impresos o electrónicos, tales como trailers, afiches, postales, catálogo virtual, por mencionar algunos.
A la mejor videodanza se le otorgará un premio económico, y se darán menciones honoríficas en Dirección, Coreografía, Fotografía, Montaje, Diseño Sonoro y Diseño de Arte.
En caso de no reclamar el premio en los 3 meses siguientes, se entenderá que el ganador renuncia al mismo, pudiendo ser utilizado para sufragar los gastos que genere la próxima edición del festival.
La inscripción de obras al Festival implica la aceptación de las bases de la presente convocatoria y la renuncia a cualquier tipo de reclamo o acción legal contra el Festival Internacional de Videodanza de la Ciudad de México, Red Nacional de Arte, sus representantes o afiliados. Cualquier asunto no especificado en esta convocatoria será resuelto por los organizadores.
