Love Actually Int'l Short Film Showcase
New York City | Est. 2009 | Every Valentine's Day
Love is the reason.
Sex is the truth.
Romance is what survives them both.
Love Actually Int'l Short Film Festival is New York's home for short films that explore the full spectrum of human connection - from tender to taboo, joyful to devastating, intimate to universal.
Since 2009, we've curated films that don't look away. Stories about desire, heartbreak, longing, pleasure, and everything in between. Films that remind us that love - in all its forms - is the most cinematic subject there is.
Every February 14th, filmmakers from around the world bring their most honest work to one screen. We celebrate the craft, the courage, and the vulnerability it takes to tell these stories.
We accept films that:
Run between 1:30 – 25 minutes
Center love, sex, or romance as the main theme
Span any genre - drama, comedy, documentary, animation, sci-fi, experimental, and beyond
Include English subtitles for all foreign language dialogue
We welcome stories about:
Romantic love. Unrequited love. Sexual identity. Desire. Heartbreak. Intimacy. Loss. New beginnings. Complicated relationships. The love that changes you.
If your film goes there, we want it.
Love Actually Int'l Short Film Festival is produced by 919 Media and Story Lab NYC.
Accepted films will be showcased on a 50 Foot 6k LED screen at Planet X Studios in East Williamsburg, NY | https://planetxstudios.life
