Joaquim Bayle was born on December 9, 1990, in northern France.
Influenced by skate and underground culture, he began directing self-produced videos and films on MiniDV, Super 8mm and 16mm, developing his filmmaking practice alongside his work as a creative.
Working between fiction and experimental cinema, his films blend tragicomedy, existential concerns and a taste for the absurd.
His short films include GWENDOLINE, which received an Honorable Mention at Slamdance and screened at several international festivals, LE PAS DE CÔTÉ, and TOURNER COURT, a 16mm film shot in Paris that marks a shift toward a more personal form of filmmaking.
