Hinata Ishihara

Born 1998 in Suita City, Osaka, Japan. Currently a student in the Visual Concept Planning Department at Osaka University of Arts and CEO of illi237, inc ., a video production company.
It was around 2012 that Ishihara first embarked on his career as a still photographer. He now uses his unique sensibility and technique to support a wide range of clients in music, theater, the academy, and public events.
In 2014, Ishihara started taking on video production jobs. With his increasing experience, the industry has discovered in him a precocious excellence in cinematography and editing. Even as a high-school student, Ishihara was already directing an event with a multi-million-yen budget.
In 2018, Ishihara established his own video production company illi237, inc.
Sin-Gone Irony chronicles Ishihara’s encounter with Shingon Buddhist priest Takashi Hirai as well as Ishihara’s loss when the priest suddenly dies. The film was completed in 2020 as Ishihara’s debut feature. The same year, Ishihara began studying under film director Taichi Kimura.
