Organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, the Gold Panda Awards is an international cultural award for promoting humanistic exchanges and encouraging dialogues through film and television productions with the giant panda as a cultural symbol.
The Golden Panda Awards selects and promotes outstanding film and television works worldwide that absorb the essence of the times, embody sincere expression, stimulate the resonance of emotions and promote the common values of all mankind; and invites renowned figures with global influence to form an international and professional jury. It aims to bring people closer to China and let China embrace the world.
The Golden Panda Awards is held once every two years. In 2023, the First Golden Panda Awards was hosted from September 19 to 20 in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province. A total of 25 awards were presented in four categories: Films, TV drama, Documentary and Animation. The award selection included a series of activities such as "Golden Panda Night", "Golden Panda International Cultural Forum" and "Golden Panda Ceremony", as well as public screenings.

Nominees shall be invited to relevant activities and the awards ceremony of Golden Panda Awards in Chengdu China. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and will be awarded trophy and certificate of the Golden Panda Awards.
