WeirdFilm has screened horror, fantasy, sci-fi and just plain weird short films in the San Francisco Bay Area, yearly at Halloween time, since 2014.

Rules & Terms

Short films: 15 minutes maximum, any date of completion, not publicly viewable online.
Provide online screener (MOV or MP4), with synopsis, & English subtitles if dialog is not in English.
You must own the rights or have a written release (permission) to use any music & media in your film.
Films may not be withdrawn from consideration & submission = consent to screening.
Past submissions are often re-considered (no need to submit the same film twice; don't send us more money unless you want us to keep it!).

    I'll just add here what I said on their Instagram post days before the fest: "I'm happy to contribute to the weird for the Weird Film Fest. Thanks again for selecting "Three Sixes." It's a personal favorite from my filmography thus far." I couldn't be there but the venue looked great and I'm sure it was a blast.

    UPDATED REVIEW

    Unfortunately my submissions this year have been declined HOWEVER due to having a previous history of successful submissions Eve has gone above and beyond to lessen the blow and offer very constructive support, THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD so please do not think I am suggesting that they will feed back to every film maker, my point is that these guys take the time to do what they believe is right. 10 out of 10 for these guys.

    These guys are fantastic. The communication is fast and personal. The festival itself is to far for me to travel from uk but from what I've seen on the website its awesome.

    Weird Film Fest had great communication all the way through and were extremely friendly. We really wish we could have been there in person. They have great taste in shorts and we would absolutely submit something again and hopefully attend next tim!
