The "Festival del Cinema di Castel Volturno" was born in December 2018 with the purpose to become an annual prestigious appointment for the Territory and for National and International film industry.

The project takes its roots from the desire to promote Castel Volturno as a place of interest and point of Reference for the cinema, since in the last years it became the set of numerous films, documentaries, short films and video clips thus granting an important slice of artistic production in this area.

La data di apertura del BANDO è il 27 marzo 2026 e si chiuderà il 31 luglio 2026 alle ore 23:59 ora italiana.
L’iscrizione al Festival è valida solo attraverso la piattaforma filmfreeway.com e il costo di iscrizione è 8 euro (otto euro).
Le opere selezionate dovranno essere poi caricate sulla piattaforma del sito del Festival (https://fccv.sparqfest.live/it/theme/festival-del-cinema-di-castelvolturno.html), a cura del partecipante.
Si precisa che la piattaforma è visibile solo agli utenti registrati (GIURIA), e non sarà in alcun modo possibile scaricare le opere.
Le opere selezionate saranno proiettate durante il Festival, sia in sala che su piattaforma online.

OPERE AMMESSE
Sono accettati tutti i generi cinematografici ad eccezione di videoclip e video arte.
Sono ammesse opere vincitrici o che hanno partecipato ad altri festival.
Le opere devono essere state prodotte dopo il 1 Gennaio 2023.
Il tema di tutte le opere è libero.

Tutte le opere saranno valutate da un’apposita commissione, che avrà il compito di ammettere le opere alle varie sezioni del festival.

Giuria Young
Premio giuria Young: Le 25 opere selezionate saranno visionate da una Giuria formata da giovani dai 14 ai 24 anni. Le proiezioni saranno organizzate negli istituti scolastici coinvolti e on line per tutti gli iscritti alla giuria attraverso il nostro sito. Il film vincitore sarà decretato a seguito della votazione complessiva di tutti i ragazzi coinvolti.

Accederanno alla finale 3 opere che saranno visionate da una giuria costituita da esperti del settore coordinati da Marino Guarnieri.
Assegneranno il PREMIO ANIMAZIONE.

Accederanno alla finale 3 opere che verranno visionate da una giuria di esperti
coordinati da Fabrizio Bancale.
Assegneranno il PREMIO DOCUMENTARI.
3. SEZIONE LUNGOMETRAGGI
Accederanno alla finale 5 opere che verranno visionate da:
GIURIA SNCCI:
Sindacato Nazionale Critici Cinematografici Italiani
Assegneranno il premio SNCCI.
GIURIA PUBBLICO:
costituita da pubblico presente in sala e dal pubblico iscritto precedentemente sulla piattaforma. Le opere potranno essere visionate ESCLUSIVAMENTE previa iscrizione alla Giuria Pubblico. Il regolamento (visibile sul sito) prevede che i giurati vedano tutti i film in concorso prima di votare il film vincitore.
Assegneranno il premio Giuria del Pubblico.

Da quest’anno abbiamo aperto una nuova collaborazione con DOPE+, una piattaforma streaming che opera su Amazon Prime Video. Questa collaborazione comporta l’inserimento gratuito, per una durata massima di un anno dalla data di conclusione del Festival, sulla piattaforma DOPE+, le opere vincitrici delle seguenti categorie del Festival:

DOPE+ premierà l’opera migliore tra le finaliste, che abbia utilizzato, anche parzialmente, l'Intelligenza Artificiale (AI) nella sua produzione, garantendo la distribuzione del titolo sulla piattaforma DOPE+ e un bonus di euro 3.000 (tremila/00) destinato all'attività di ADV (Advertising).

MODALITÀ DI CONSEGNA DELLE OPERE E LIBERATORIE Contestualmente alla consegna delle opere, per l'inserimento sulla piattaforma DOPE+, saranno necessarie le relative liberatorie e autorizzazioni per permettere la diffusione e la pubblicazione delle opere sulla piattaforma DOPE+, garantendo il pieno rispetto dei diritti d'autore e di proprietà intellettuale.

Festival registration is valid exclusively through the platform filmfreeway.com, and the entry fee is EUR 8.00 (eight euros).
Selected works must then be uploaded by the participant to the Festival website platform: https://fccv.sparqfest.live/it/theme/festival-del-cinema-di-castelvolturno.html.
Please note that the platform is visible only to registered users (JURY), and under no circumstances will it be possible to download the works.
Selected works will be screened during the Festival both in the theater and on the online platform.

ELIGIBLE WORKS
All film genres are accepted, with the exception of music videos and video art.
Works that have already won awards or taken part in other festivals are eligible.
Works must have been produced after 1 January 2023.
The theme of all works is open.

SECTIONS
All submitted works will be evaluated by a dedicated selection committee, whose task will be to admit the works to the various sections of the Festival.
The sections are:
• Short Films Section
• Animated Short Films Section
• Documentaries Section
• Feature Films Section

SHORT FILMS SECTION
FCCV Jury
Twenty-five short films will be admitted to the final round and will be screened by the FCCV Jury, composed of leading figures from cinema, theatre, and journalism.
The Jury will award the FCCV AWARD and the following Special Mentions:
• Direction
• Cinematography
• Actor
• Actress
• Screenplay
• Original Score
Young Jury
Young Jury Award: the 25 selected works will be screened by a Jury composed of young people aged 14 to 24. Screenings will be organized in the participating schools and online for all registered jurors through our website. The winning film will be determined on the basis of the overall vote of all the young jurors involved.

ANIMATED SHORT FILMS SECTION
Three animated short films will be admitted to the final round and screened by a jury made up of industry experts coordinated by Marino Guarnieri.
They will award the ANIMATION AWARD.

DOCUMENTARIES SECTION
Three documentaries will be admitted to the final round and screened by a jury of experts coordinated by Fabrizio Bancale.
They will award the DOCUMENTARY AWARD.

FEATURE FILMS SECTION
Five feature films will be admitted to the final round and screened by:
SNCCI JURY
National Union of Italian Film Critics
They will award the SNCCI Prize.
AUDIENCE JURY
Composed of the audience present in the theater and of viewers previously registered on the platform. The works may be viewed EXCLUSIVELY upon registration with the Audience Jury. The regulations (available on the website) require jurors to watch all competing films before voting for the winning film.
They will award the Audience Jury Prize.

DOPE+ COLLABORATION
Starting this year, we have launched a new collaboration with DOPE+, a streaming platform operating on Amazon Prime Video. This collaboration provides for the free inclusion, for a maximum period of one year from the end date of the Festival, of the winning works from the following Festival categories on the DOPE+ platform:
• Best Short Film - FCCV Award
• Best Animated Short Film
• Best Documentary
• Best Feature Film - Audience Jury Prize

SPECIAL AWARD FOR THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)
DOPE+ will reward the best work among the finalists that has used, even partially, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its production, guaranteeing distribution of the title on the DOPE+ platform together with a bonus of EUR 3,000.00 (three thousand euros) to be allocated to advertising activity (ADV).

DELIVERY OF WORKS AND RELEASE FORMS
At the time the works are delivered, for inclusion on the DOPE+ platform, the relevant release forms and authorizations will be required to allow distribution and publication of the works on the DOPE+ platform, ensuring full compliance with copyright and intellectual property rights.

Rules & Terms

La partecipazione al concorso implica l’accettazione del presente regolamento in tutti i suoi punti, pena l’esclusione dell’opera inviata.
1) Ciascun partecipante, inviando l’opera, dichiara di essere titolare di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione dell’opera stessa, nessuno escluso. Che i contenuti della stessa non violino le leggi vigenti e che l’opera non presenti contenuti a carattere diffamatorio. In ogni caso il partecipante manleva l’organizzazione da ogni responsabilità per il contenuto del film proiettato in pubblico.
2) Ciascun partecipante, con l’invio della sua opera, autorizza l’organizzazione, qualora fosse selezionata, a renderla visibile, per un periodo di tempo limitato (dal 10 Ottobre al 10 Novembre 2026) sulla piattaforma dedicata del festival (si rimanda all’introduzione del presente regolamento)
3) I CORTOMETRAGGI dovranno avere durata massima di 15 minuti. Per l’iscrizione sono preferibili i sottotitoli in italiano (o con lista dialoghi in italiano e file srt). Le 25 opere selezionate dovranno fornire i sottotitoli in italiano, tranne quelli in lingua italiana, pena l’esclusione.
4) I LUNGOMETRAGGI dovranno avere una durata minima di 60 minuti.
Sono obbligatori i sottotitoli in italiano (tranne quelli in lingua italiana) pena l’esclusione.
5) I DOCUMENTARI dovranno avere una durata minima di 50 minuti. Dovranno essere sottotitolati in italiano (tranne quelli in lingua italiana) pena l’esclusione.
6) In caso di vittoria, i vincitori sono invitati a garantire la loro presenza durante la premiazione oppure ad inviare un videomessaggio da proiettare o presenziare da remoto. Il luogo della premiazione sarà in Castel Volturno il 24 ottobre 2026 e i vincitori saranno avvisati tramite mail..

REGULATIONS
Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these regulations in all their parts, under penalty of exclusion of the submitted work.
1. By submitting a work, each participant declares that they hold all rights to use the work, without exception; that its contents do not violate current laws; and that the work does not contain defamatory material. In any event, the participant releases the organization from any liability for the content of the film screened in public.
2. By submitting their work, each participant authorizes the organization, should the work be selected, to make it available for a limited period of time (from 10 October to 10 November 2026) on the Festival’s dedicated platform (please refer to the introduction to these regulations).
3. SHORT FILMS must have a maximum running time of 15 minutes. For submission, Italian subtitles are preferred (or an Italian dialogue list and .srt file). The 25 selected works must provide Italian subtitles, except for works in the Italian language, under penalty of exclusion.
4. FEATURE FILMS must have a minimum running time of 60 minutes. Italian subtitles are mandatory (except for works in the Italian language), under penalty of exclusion.
5. DOCUMENTARIES must have a minimum running time of 50 minutes. They must be subtitled in Italian (except for works in the Italian language), under penalty of exclusion.
6. In the event of an award, winners are invited to ensure their presence at the award ceremony or to send a video message to be screened, or to attend remotely. The award ceremony will take place in Castel Volturno on 24 October 2026, and winners will be notified by email.

    The festival is highly recommended. My film was selected for the 2022 festival and I attended in person. The festival is a well-run event with enthusiastic participation by the Italian film community. The festival leadership team is so friendly and supportive to filmmakers. Everyone was very welcoming to my North American film. The event, in total, screened 100 films, including shorts, features and documentaries, in addition to an in-person filmmaking program for youth over the week of the festival. The festival closes with an awards event and dinner for all filmmakers and sponsors. Phenomenal festival.
