The LA Shorts awards is a monthly awards competition that allows filmmakers from all over the world to enter their short films to get it judged by industry professionals and compete with other filmmakers. We accept short films of every genre.

We have a very high quality standard and only award the best independent filmmakers. The award winners will be listed on our website and will automatically compete for the “Film of the year” award in December.

Every submission can add numerous additional judging categories.

We are an official event on IMDb.

Rules & Terms

· Entries must be in English or - Subtitled, dubbed in English.
· Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker and each entry may be entered in multiple categories.
· Every submission must have a main category and can add optional judging categories
· All entries should be sent via FilmFreeway. Please don't send discs or any downloadable files to us.
· Works in progress are accepted
· Entries will not be returned
· Entry fees are non-refundable
