Join our passionate team of seasoned, purpose-driven Hollywood Industry Professionals for the ETHOS Film Awards International Film Festival for its' fifth edition.

Created by successful Hollywood producers, directors, and actors, the ETHOS Film Awards, held in Los Angeles/Santa Monica in November 2023, celebrates courageous talent. We see the art of film and storytelling as a sacred process - a unifier that transcends all cultures and languages. With the aim to conceptualize a vision for a better future, our international film festival highlights the impact and meaning of story, an artistic approach that we call "purpose-driven."

Official selections will be presented on our online platform, starting in November 2023. All finalists will screen at the Laemmle Theaters, and/or our partner facility, the Santa Monica College, as part of our exciting live screenings and event schedule with special guests and panelists.

Special guests 2022 included Industry powerhouses, such as the legendary producer Cindy Cowan, James Keach, Sandi Bachom, Henry Jaglom, Claire Hasood, JD3TV CEO Sir James Dentley III, Don and Melinda Boyer, and many more.

We accept and welcome ANY genre, be it action, adventure, comedy, sci-fi, thrillers, horror, documentaries and experimental projects, as long as your film has a message that carries values and inspires and furthers a better tomorrow.

ETHOS offers an exciting Live event in the heart of a prime location in the world, the renowned Laemmle Theaters on 2nd Street, a block away from the Santa Monica bluffs, giving access to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier, and nestled among restaurants on Third Street Promenade.

ETHOS Film Awards are also proud partners with the top Hollywood Film Industry network "Ermantourage" and the Santa Monica College to support our filmmaker community with extraordinary opportunities and an exciting line-up of speakers and panelists.

Founded by actor/filmmaker Anabelle D. Munro and her team of passionate industry professionals, the ETHOS Film Awards have one goal in common: we want to support other filmmakers and create a platform for diverse voices from all over the world.

The ETHOS Film Awards Film Festival aims to connect like-minded industry professionals to impact the world with powerful messages. Together, we provide incredible resources and an exciting and wide variety of Hollywood industry experts, seminar speakers, and celebrity panelists - right in the heart of Los Angeles.

Our Festival is open to ALL filmmakers, writers, and composers of all genres, and lengths - fiction and non-fiction are welcome. All submissions must make a creative and poignant statement, initiate a critical dialogue, and make a difference in those who view, or read them.

If you have a social impact message film, be it subtle or straightforward, we want to see it.

The ETHOS Film Awards 23 will run online, hosted by our sponsor platform "Filmocracy", , followed by the 5 day LIVE EVENT downtown Santa Monica.

Past ETHOS Film Award Winners, seminar speakers, and guests include producer Lee Broda (poet, activist, and producer of films such as Scorsese's "The Card Counter," "The Kindergarten Teacher," "A Private War"), Hollywood director and ETHOS Lifetime award winner Lewis Teague (Cujo, Jewel of the Nile, Navy Seals), director Roger Christiansen (Friends, Hanna Montana), 2-time Emmy winner Jerri Sher (Quiet Explosions), actor/director Jeremy Taylor (It, It chapter II), actor James Franco, actor Winsor Harmon (Sarogetol), actor/director Daniel Baldwin (My Promise to PJ), Entrepreneur Joe Polish (Genius Network), and many more.

We strongly support purpose-driven minority and female filmmakers and offer first-look distribution opportunities and awards.

The ETHOS team truly applies their heart energy and appreciates it more than words can express when we see the same approach expessed in the submissions we receive. We care and want to see you and your career flourish for creating movies that matter.

We look forward to reviewing your work from a perspective often overlooked and under-appreciated in film.

  • Ethos 2022-- what a great film festival! I had heard about this festival from other filmmakers as I began submitting my film, and wondered if I could get in. I was beyond excited and so grateful to be a part of this festival with all it has to offer. From its amazing exposure with professional, Red Carpets, interviews , and networking, to opening and award parties.
