To sum it up, the festival, its organizers and volunteers are totally amazing. Etheria provides way more than "just another place to screen your film.' They spend lot of energy not only celebrating the filmmakers and films, but also connecting those filmmakers with each other. They also do a great job getting people to fill the theater! One of the best audiences we had. I will for sure be attending this festival every year!

Best film night ever!! The program directors take such great care of the filmmakers to give us a great experience. The communication was always clear and they planned special events for filmmakers to get to know one another. The venue is incredible, including the red carpet with photographers and interviewers. We also had a portrait session with an amazing photographer and our own official selection plaques. I cannot stress enough how amazing and caring the program directors of Etheria are. They truly made this whole experience incredible!

Thank you and the entire Etheria team for putting on such an extraordinary night celebrating women in genre! I have yet to feel so at home, welcomed, and honored as a shorts filmmaker at a festival. I was also completely blown away by the quality of films screened. Each and every director deserve their own blockbuster! I've met so many wonderful filmmakers and collaborators through Etheria that I will definitely keep a look out for. The venue (Egyptian Theater) was fantastic with the biggest screen and best quality sound system I've ever had the pleasure of screening my film on. Thank you all for your hard work and effort evident in every detail from the comic book programs and poster to the photoshoot to the party. You've set the bar quite high for future festivals! I will be encouraging all women filmmakers working in genre to apply for future Etheria Film Nights for many years to come.

This festival was outstanding! Etheria treated filmmakers and guests to a night of high quality genre shorts. They hosted a Happy Hour for the filmmakers the day before the event and on the night provided a fun networking atmosphere where established and up-and-coming filmmakers mixed socially before the screening. The red-carpet ran like a well-oiled machine with media and press. This festival is ALL about the filmmakers and I highly recommend it!

Words will never do justice to the magic that was this year's Etheria Fest. From the get-go it was clear this was going to be a spectacular event -- weeks in advance we were invited to happy hours, networking parties and a photo shoot (individual head shots for attending cast and crew plus group shots!) Communication was prompt, friendly and helpful. And I was pleased when they requested flash drives with the highest res version of our films, all of which they put back to back on a single DCP with picture, color, and sound levels mixed so seamlessly that every film looked and sounded magnificent -- as they should in the famous Egyptian Theatre. I was so honored our film was chosen to screen alongside such an impressive, diverse and engaging selection of shorts, all made by the most delightful group of women, most of whom were in attendance and a joy to meet. Etheria's open-minded approach to genre films made for a fabulously eclectic range of stories. And this barely scratches the surface of the wonderfulness of this fest. Heidi and Stacy, who run the show, are the warmest, most organized and genuine people you could ever want at the helm of a women-forward (or any) festival and they made each and every one of us feel so important and special (our swag bag among other goodies features a whole bottle of designer vodka!) There was a fabulous crowd in attendance for both pre-screening cocktails and the show, not to mention quite a lot of press taking photos and conducting interviews with the filmmakers. And as an added amazing perk, Lori Petty introduced Rachel Talalay, recipient of the Etheria 2018 Inspiration award, both whom, fittingly, gave the most inspiring speeches (as did John Waters via video.) Even the Q and A was especially well run, and every director received a gorgeous customized plaque featuring artwork from her respective film. It was all magical and I'm sad it's over, but keeping it short and sweet was brilliant. I think we all left wanting more. I can't thank the amazing Etheria team enough for their support, generosity and inspiration. They are definitely part of the solution!
