Emmanuel Mwape "Chungu" (born March 18, 1991) is a Zambian film director, writer, Cinematographer, poet, theatre artist and actor. Founder of Delicama Films and Chawama Theatre Club. Went to Kamwala secodary school. He made his directorial debut with with a training film project titled The Interview(2013) during the young Cinemas in Zambia workshop were he graduated as a film director, tutored by Mara Jeranko Finshi based filmmaker and has since directed films such as Am Free an award winning short film (2014), Wrath a nomineted short film in the 2014 ZAFTER awards in the best short film category, SEX a short film nominated at the 7th Helsink African International Film Festival (2015) this short as earned him many international special selections such as the following festivals; RWUL ; I LUV AFRICA; festival (UGANDA~U.S.A, Afro anase african film festival (Colombia) Indie Wise and Industry BOOST competion as a successeful finalist and Zambia Short Film Festival, and in 2016 he as realeased his feature film which as been durbed as a film to remember in the Zambian film industry because it is a first thriller film to be in cinemas and highly honored because of the young talents involved in the project the film is eye for a Nomination in the Best feature film awards here in Zambia.
Emmanuel's movies have mainly been themed on urban crime, Social problems and poverty, and other political issues and beliefs. Away from film Emmanuel spends much of his time directing school stage plays and poems for churches and school, all his life is artistically fashioned. Emmanuel as successful been crowned the National Best Director in the National Schools Festivals (2015)
