Dylan Hensley is an MFA Graduate with a terminal degree in Documentary Production from the University of North Texas, with a BA in Media Arts and Minor in Anthropology. They taught undergraduate students at UNT for 5 years, with a specific focus in Audio Production at UNT in their final year as an Adjunct Prof. They have since left the university and are now the co-owner of an independent production studio, VOID LLC.
As a local native to the RGV, they focus on producing work that centers the people and places within these borderlands, from experimental documentaries that focus on the community and the environment, to music and short films embedded with magical realism, whimsy, and nostalgia. Throughout Texas and beyond, their filmography explores identity, self-discovery, and liminality through surrealist undertones.
