It's DFFB 2023! That means it's the 8TH ANNUAL DFFB!

We've been so happy to be bringing free film screenings to Bradford (and now also Oakland, CA) since 2016. We pride ourselves on being filmmaker-focused and putting unique and interesting films in front of new audiences without charging crazy ticket prices for screenings.

2021 saw one of, if not THE best year ever so we are ready and rarin' to get back for 2022! We can't wait to see the films you've been working on and show them to whole new audiences!

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
My goal in founding Drunken Film Fest was to provide comfortable, unique, and most importantly FREE spaces to show our films. That led me to the amazing local pub scene of Bradford - hence 'Drunken' Film Fest. It's not about getting drunk on booze; it's about getting drunk on film, having great conversations, and exploring the amazing venues this city has to offer.

— Jax Griffin, festival founder and director

Winning films will be reviewed for the amazing film magazine Film Inquiry

Such an ace festival. Jax and the team are great and you can really tell they care about the filmmakers and the audiences. I've had a couple of films screened at the festival over the years and although I haven't been able to attend I felt included in the event. I will certainly continue to enter the festival with new projects and hopefully get a chance to visit in person one day.

Loved this festival, had an awesome time screening my short film The Hobbyhorser for the 2021 festival. Jax and the guys were brilliant from the start and a lot of love and hard work went into making the festival happen. I just wish that all of the smaller mid scale festivals put this much effort into a festival. Thanks for having me guys!

Thanks for the kind words, Marc!! It was an absolute joy and honour to show The Hobbyhorser and I was so thrilled you were able to make it up to the screening. Glad our passion for the films (and filmmakers) comes across and hope to screen more from you in future!
