Gemma Creagh is a nomadic writer, filmmaker and journalist. She was born in Cork, currently lives in Dublin, and has studied both in Belfast, and more recently in Galway. It was there she graduated with a First from NUIG’s MA Writing programme. Gemma has penned articles for magazines, industry websites and newspapers and works presently as the Associate Editor of Film Ireland Magazine and is a regular film contributor to RTE Radio One's Arena Programme. Spoiling Sunset, her short theatre piece, was staged in the Jerome Hynes One Act Play series in 2014. Gemma was the writer and co-producer of the five-part comedy ‘Rental Boys’ for RTÉ’s Storyland, and has gone on to write, direct and shorts which screened at festivals around the world. Her plays have been funded and staged by Axis, Arts Council, AboutFACE and Barnstorm. She is presently in development as a co-writer with Mo O'Connell on a Screen Ireland supported project.
