Babel Film Awards celebrates the best of student filmmaking in Hong Kong and the rest of Asia. It offers a chance for filmmakers aged 8-18 to gain recognition for their creative work in the film arts through various competitions.

Rules & Terms

Students aged 14-18 enrolled in a school in Hong Kong or Asia are eligible. Films must be made in 2024-25 and 1-7 mins in length, including credits (required). Any film genre is accepted. Each student can submit 1 film maximum as director. Films must not contain any copyrighted material, including music. Films not in English must be subtitled in English. Films must not contain any cursing; sexual or violent content; depiction of nudity, self-harm, smoking or substance abuse; or promotion of illegal activities.
