Regolamento ufficiale della manifestazione
Art. 1
Obiettivi della Manifestazione
Ardea Film Festival nasce con l'obiettivo di promuovere la cultura cinematografica nella città di Ardea, offrendo visibilità ad autori, registi e filmmakers di tutto il mondo, emergenti e professionisti, indipendenti e non, valorizzando opere originali che si distinguano per qualità artistica, creatività e contenuto, con particolare attenzione all'innovazione del linguaggio audiovisivo e alla ricercatezza della forma cinematografica.
I principi fondanti del Festival sono: Rispetto, Responsabilità, Integrità, Professionalità, Equità, Fiducia e Trasparenza. Il comitato organizzatore si riserva il diritto di escludere, anche in fase successiva alla selezione, opere che risultino in contrasto con tali principi etici.
Appendice A: elenca i criteri che definiscono la violazione dei suddetti principi.
Art. 2
Requisiti per la partecipazione
La partecipazione è gratuita e aperta a tutti, senza vincoli partitici. Può partecipare chiunque invii un'opera audiovisiva della durata massima di 20 minuti (inclusi titoli di testa e di coda), entro le scadenze indicate, tramite:
- Piattaforma FilmFreeway;
- Invio via mail all'indirizzo ufficiale del festival, con link di visione.
Le tempistiche di invio delle opere sono definite in apice al portale FilmFreeway. Ogni invio oltre la data di scadenza non sarà preso in considerazione. In caso di selezione, sarà richiesta una versione scaricabile dell'opera. Non vi è limite al numero di opere che un singolo o un gruppo può inviare.
Iscrivendo un film, il/la partecipante dichiara:
- di essere titolare dei diritti sull'opera o di averne ottenuto autorizzazione;
- di allegare, se richiesto, liberatorie e autorizzazioni relative a musiche, immagini, loghi, persone riconoscibili;
- di manlevare l'organizzazione da ogni responsabilità civile e penale relativa ai contenuti;
- di concedere ad Ardea Film Festival il diritto non esclusivo di proiettare l'opera durante il Festival ed estratti sui canali di comunicazione a fini promozionali e divulgativi.
Art. 3
Categorie delle Opere
Le sezioni tematiche previste sono:
- Cortometraggi di finzione (max 20 minuti);
- Documentari (max 20 minuti);
- Studenti (max 20 minuti).
La tematica è libera. Verranno assegnate menzioni speciali alle opere che affrontano il rapporto tra luogo, identità e memoria (non solo relativi alla città di Ardea, ma anche a territori affini e limitrofi).
Nota: Le opere in lingua non italiana devono essere sottotitolate in italiano o inglese.
Art. 4
Selezione delle Opere
La selezione avviene in due fasi:
- Valutazione del comitato organizzativo per la "selezione ufficiale";
- Giudizio della giuria ufficiale per assegnare premi e menzioni nella fase di "concorso".
Criteri di valutazione:
- Originalità del soggetto;
- Qualità della narrazione;
- Relazione con il territorio;
- Innovazione e sperimentazione;
- Impatto emotivo.
Il giudizio del comitato organizzativo e della giuria è definitivo e insindacabile. I membri della giuria e dell'organizzazione non possono presentare opere proprie o di familiari e dovranno astenersi in caso di conflitto d'interesse. Il Festival si riserva il diritto di escludere in ogni fase opere che violino diritti o principi etici.
Art. 5
Proiezioni
I film selezionati saranno proiettati durante il Festival ad Ardea nella sede del Museo Giacomo Manzù di Ardea, con ingresso in forma gratuita. Il Festival si riserva il diritto di proiettare le opere selezionate anche in eventi satellite collegati alla manifestazione. Ogni utilizzo esterno diverso da quelli sopra citati sarà concordato singolarmente con l'autore.
Art. 6
Premi
Le opere selezionate riceveranno targhe commemorative, consegnate durante la cerimonia finale. Non sono previsti premi in denaro. In caso di assenza, verrà data possibilità di ritiro differito o spedizione a carico del destinatario.
Le categorie premiate sono le seguenti:
Cortometraggi (Fiction)
- Miglior cortometraggio
- Miglior regia
- Migliore fotografia
Documentari (Cinema del reale)
- Miglior documentario
- Miglior regia
- Migliore fotografia
Studenti
- Miglior cortometraggio studentesco
Le Menzioni Speciali sono trasversali le categorie e sono le seguenti:
- Premio del Territorio
- Premio Arte
- Premio Temi del Sociale
La partecipazione non dà diritto a compensi, rimborsi o cachet.
Art. 7
Diffusione e Diritti d'Autore
Gli autori selezionati autorizzano l'utilizzo non esclusivo di:
- Estratti dell'opera (max 90 secondi);
- Fotogrammi e materiali promozionali.
Tali materiali potranno essere impiegati per promozione, comunicazione e archivio del Festival, su siti web, social media, stampa e altri canali non commerciali. L'uso promozionale si estende per l'edizione corrente e per le prossime edizioni del festival, nonché nell'archivio permanente di Ardea Film Festival. Le opere non selezionate non verranno utilizzate, salvo consenso scritto dell'autore.
Art. 8
Disclaimer
Inviando l'opera, l'autore accetta tutte le condizioni descritte nel presente regolamento. L'organizzazione non è responsabile per contenuti illeciti, errori tecnici, smarrimenti digitali o malfunzionamenti. L'organizzazione si riserva il diritto di escludere opere con contenuti problematici o che non rispettino le condizioni del presente regolamento anche dopo la selezione. Tutte le responsabilità legali ricadono sull'autore dell'opera inviata. Si consiglia ai partecipanti di conservare copie di backup e documentazione.
Art. 9
Privacy
I dati personali saranno trattati nel rispetto del Regolamento UE 2016/679 (GDPR) e utilizzati esclusivamente per fini connessi alla partecipazione al Festival. Gli interessati possono richiedere modifica o cancellazione dei dati scrivendo a info@ardeafilmfestival.it.

Appendice A
Principi Etici e Criteri di Esclusione
Saranno escluse opere che:
- Promuovano odio, razzismo, sessismo o discriminazioni;
- Contengano contenuti violenti, pornografici o diffamatori;
- Violino norme sul copyright o la privacy;
- Siano incompatibili con i valori fondamentali di rispetto, inclusione e responsabilità civile.

Official Regulations of the Event
Art. 1
Objectives of the Festival
Ardea Film Festival aims to promote film culture in the city of Ardea, providing visibility to authors, directors, and filmmakers from all over the world — both emerging and established, independent or otherwise — by highlighting original works that stand out for their artistic quality, creativity, and content, with a particular focus on audiovisual language innovation and refined cinematic form.
The founding principles of the Festival are: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Professionalism, Fairness, Trust, and Transparency. The organizing committee reserves the right to exclude, even after selection, any works found to be in conflict with these ethical principles.
Appendix A outlines the criteria defining violations of the above-mentioned principles.
Art. 2
Participation Requirements
Participation is free and open to all, with no political affiliations required. Anyone may participate by submitting an audiovisual work with a maximum duration of 20 minutes (including opening and closing credits) within the deadlines specified, through:
- FilmFreeway platform;
- Email submission to the official festival address, with a viewing link.
Deadlines are specified at the top of the FilmFreeway portal. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered. If selected, a downloadable version of the work will be requested. There is no limit to the number of works an individual or group may submit.
By submitting a film, the participant declares:
- to hold the rights to the work or to have obtained authorization;
- to provide, if requested, releases and authorizations for music, images, logos, and identifiable persons;
- to release the organization from all civil and criminal liability related to the content;
- to grant Ardea Film Festival the non-exclusive right to screen the work during the Festival and to use excerpts for promotional and outreach purposes on its communication channels.
Art. 3
Categories of Works
Thematic sections include:
- Fiction Short Films (max 20 minutes);
- Documentaries (max 20 minutes);
- Student Films (max 20 minutes).
The theme is open. Special mentions will be awarded to works that explore the relationship between place, identity, and memory (not limited to the city of Ardea but also related to similar and neighboring territories).
Note: Works in languages other than Italian must be subtitled in Italian or English.
Art. 4
Selection of Works
Selection occurs in two phases:
- Evaluation by the organizing committee for "official selection";
- Judgment by the official jury to award prizes and mentions in the "competition" phase.
Evaluation criteria:
- Originality of the subject;
- Quality of storytelling;
- Connection to the territory;
- Innovation and experimentation;
- Emotional impact.
The judgment of the organizing committee and the jury is final and not subject to appeal. Members of the jury and organizing team may not submit their own works or those of relatives and must recuse themselves in case of a conflict of interest. The Festival reserves the right to exclude works at any stage if they violate rights or ethical principles.
Art. 5
Screenings
Selected films will be screened during the Festival in Ardea at the Giacomo Manzù Museum, with free admission. The Festival reserves the right to screen selected works at satellite events related to the Festival. Any external use beyond the above will be individually agreed upon with the author.
Art. 6
Awards
Selected works will receive commemorative plaques, presented during the final ceremony. No cash prizes will be awarded. In the event of absence, collection or shipping (at the recipient’s expense) will be arranged.
Award categories include:
Fiction Short Films
- Best Short Film
- Best Direction
- Best Cinematography
Documentaries (Cinema of Reality)
- Best Documentary
- Best Direction
- Best Cinematography
Students
- Best Student Short Film
Special Mentions (across all categories):
- Territory Award
-Art Award
- Social Issues Award
Participation does not entitle any compensation, reimbursement, or fee.
Art. 7
Distribution and Copyright
Selected authors authorize the non-exclusive use of:
Excerpts from the work (max 90 seconds);
Stills and promotional materials.
These materials may be used for promotion, communication, and archival purposes of the Festival, on websites, social media, press, and other non-commercial channels. Promotional use extends to the current and future editions of the Festival, as well as the permanent archive of Ardea Film Festival. Non-selected works will not be used without written consent from the author.
Art. 8
Disclaimer
By submitting a work, the author accepts all the terms outlined in these regulations. The organization is not responsible for illegal content, technical errors, digital loss, or malfunctions. The organization reserves the right to exclude works with problematic content or non-compliance with the present regulations, even post-selection. All legal responsibility lies with the submitting author. Participants are advised to retain backup copies and documentation.
Art. 9
Privacy
Personal data will be processed in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and used solely for purposes related to participation in the Festival. Participants may request modification or deletion of their data by writing to info@ardeafilmfestival.it.

Appendix A
Ethical Principles and Exclusion Criteria
Works will be excluded if they:
- Promote hatred, racism, sexism, or discrimination;
- Contain violent, pornographic, or defamatory content;
- Violate copyright or privacy laws;
- Are incompatible with the core values of respect, inclusion, and civic responsibility.
