Anna Carvalho is a multilingual, award-winning actress, director, producer, and writer with more than 60 film and television credits. Many of her projects have earned awards or nominations and have been selected for prestigious festivals worldwide.
She has served on screening juries for the Caorle Film Festival, IDTV Action Fest, Lake Film Festival, the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM), and the Austin Film Festival, and was recently invited to talk on a guest panel at Cine Las Américas.
Anna’s career spans Portugal, the United States, England, Italy, and Spain. She earned a degree in Audiovisuals in 2002 and a master’s in Performing Arts in 2013. For her master’s thesis she co-wrote, produced, and starred in Death Cabaret, a play that toured Portugal for an entire year.
A co-founder of the improv troupe O Cão Comeu o Guião and the theatre ensemble Gteatro, Anna has produced television shows, commercials, music videos, and films. She has also contributed numerous articles on theatre, music, and cinema to Inside newspaper and the cultural blog D’Magia.
