Founded in 2001 and reimagined in 2022 with a new name and focus, the ZIONS INDIE FILM FEST is a premiere presenter of cinematic stories from independent filmmakers around the world. Set alongside Utah’s spectacular Wasatch Mountains, the 22nd Annual ZIFF will take place March 15-18, 2023.

ZIFF brings together a sophisticated and diverse audience of movie-goers, film industry leaders, movie critics, film students, government leadership, and sponsors. The time-honored programming standards that were established over two-decades ago will continue under the new organization.

Films selected and presented will cover a wide range of trending topics that uplift and inspire, as well as films with the simple intent to entertain and provide a much-needed laugh. (See terms and conditions).

What a great film festival. It was great to return to an in-person FF. I enjoyed seeing other films, attending the panel discussions, and of course the best was having our film Grandpa's Crazy? screened and then awarded the Audience Choice Award. It was a great experience and something I look forward to every year.

  • I have been coming to this festival for almost 20 years, since it started. This fest is absolutely my most favorite festival. The staff are so unbelievable and the accommodations and programs are super. The level of organization is so well done, and the wide variety of submissions from filmmakers ceases to amaze me every year! Looking forward to attending next year! If you are considering this fest, please do so. You will have an amazing experience. Our film had a tremendous turnout due to the wonderful online support and marketing from the festival. Our film "sold out" and that goes to show you how hard the fest staff worked to build the online buzz which let to an amazing turnout. Such a supportive festival!

Our group has found the LDS Film Festival to be a very positive and supportive community in which to showcase our films and connect with other creators. We’ve been involved for 3 years and have only scratched the surface of all the opportunities available to film makers through the festival. Huge shoutout to directors Kels and Stephanie Goodman—and to the upcoming directors and all others involved in pulling off an amazing festival in 2021! We have benefited from our affiliation and hope to be involved for years to come.
