Welcome to the World AI Music Festival – Remember the Future! We run a worldwide monthly and annual competition dedicated to music created with the power of Artificial Intelligence, open to composers, songwriters, vocalists, producers, and sound designers from around the world.

World AI Music Festival – Remember the Future is a branch of the World Film Festival in Cannes — a hybrid festival that has grown into a major international cultural event, recognized by professionals across the film and music industries as well as by the international press. The festival celebrates both emerging talents and internationally acclaimed artists whose achievements have also been recognized by the Oscars®, BAFTA®, and Golden Globes®.

Artificial Intelligence is composing the future of music. We celebrate it — one song, one score, one soundscape at a time.

Our monthly format allows composers and artists to submit as often as they create, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving world of AI music.

Our Annual Competition, featuring a selection of the year's best Monthly Winners, will be announced in July 2027. You have until April 30 to submit your work and try to mark the future!

Awards & Prizes

The Festival Jury, composed of professionals from the music industry, artificial intelligence, and sound design, who have no connection to the competing submissions, will evaluate all entries through a private judging process and select the best works in each category.

🏆 All Official Selections, Semi-Finalists, Finalists, Nominees, and Winners will receive official laurels. All Finalists, Nominees, and Winners will also be featured on our official website and social media platforms.

🏆 Monthly and Annual Winners will receive a personalized high-resolution digital Official Certificate.

🏆 All Winners have the opportunity to purchase the prestigious "Luciole d'Or" (Golden Firefly), a custom-made metal statuette designed on the French Riviera.

🏆 Finalists, Nominees, and Winners may also book an exclusive interview with our editorial team. Their interview will receive extensive exposure across our official website and social media platforms.

🏆 All Monthly Winners are automatically qualified for the Annual Competition, competing both in their winning category and for the festival's highest distinction: the Grand Prix – Best Music From The Future – Remember the Future®.

Rules & Terms

GENERAL SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting to the World AI Music Festival – Remember the Future, you unconditionally agree to the following terms:

• All submissions are eligible provided they fit one of our official categories. You may submit to as many categories as you wish.
• A work may be submitted multiple times within the same edition in different categories.
• Each edition runs from July 4 to July 4 of the following year.* Submissions received by April 30 are eligible for consideration in that year's Annual Competition and Grand Prix – Best Music From The Future – Remember the Future®, scheduled for July 2027, allowing the jury the necessary time for deliberation ahead of the Annual Awards announcement.

By submitting, you agree that:

• The festival may use excerpts from your submission (including audio, artwork, and visuals) for promotional purposes, particularly in festival materials, promotional campaigns, and on its official website and social media platforms, throughout the duration of the current edition.* This authorization shall automatically renew each year unless revoked in writing by email with acknowledgment of receipt at least 15 days in advance.
• The festival appoints an independent jury with no conflict of interest regarding the competing works.
• All submission fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including force majeure.
• We do not offer submission fee waivers, except in exceptional circumstances following a thorough review of the applicant's specific situation.
• You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights necessary to submit the work (including music, lyrics, vocals, samples, artwork, and any other elements) and agree to indemnify and hold the festival harmless against any third-party claims arising from your submission.

REGARDING WORKS CREATED WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

• AI-generated works must not, under any circumstances, reproduce or imitate the voice, likeness, or identity of any real person without their explicit consent and a duly signed authorization.
• Unauthorized use of copyrighted samples, melodies, lyrics, trademarks, or any other protected intellectual property is strictly prohibited.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold all necessary rights to the AI tools, datasets, training material, prompts, and source material used in the creation of your work. The festival cannot systematically verify compliance and shall not be held liable for any infringement.
• Should any third-party claim arise, you agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless the festival upon request.

LEGAL & PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

• The person submitting the work must be at least 18 years old. If the applicant is a minor, their legal representative must provide proof of their authority to submit on the applicant's behalf.
• Once the Official Selection has been announced, entries may not be withdrawn from either the monthly or annual competition.
• All selection decisions will be communicated by email.
• By submitting to the festival, unless you expressly opt out, you agree to receive festival-related communications by email.
• Once a work has been submitted to a World AI Music Festival – Remember the Future category, it cannot be modified. Any revised or updated version must be submitted as a new entry with a new submission fee.
• The monthly and annual schedules are subject to change due to jury deliberations, technical maintenance, or circumstances beyond the festival's control. By submitting, you accept the published schedule and any modifications that may become necessary.
• If you apply using a student discount or student category, you may be asked at any time to provide valid proof of student status. Any misuse will result in immediate disqualification without refund.
• The World AI Music Festival reserves the right to reject any submission that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions. Selections, nominations, and awards are made solely at the discretion of the jury. All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
• You retain 100% ownership of your intellectual property and all associated rights.
• No work or artist will be discriminated against or favored on the basis of nationality, language, age, race, religion, educational background, political opinions, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or financial resources.

THE WORLD AI MUSIC FESTIVAL DOES NOT ACCEPT

• Works that do not meet professional production standards.
• Extremist, hateful, or propagandistic content from political, religious, or ideological organizations.
• Content containing pornography, racism, sexism, hate speech, defamation, or material that infringes upon the rights of third parties.
• Content that violates or invades the privacy of any individual.
• Submissions with audio quality below professional streaming standards.
• Cash payments or any form of payment made outside the official FilmFreeway platform.
