We are in the process of creating bigger and better festivals for 2018. Events, more recognitions, more awards, and a better overall experience. Stay tuned.....

Until then.......our last festival for 2017 will end mid December and the first submissions for the first festival in 2018 will begin right after that.
Women's Only Entertainment (WOEFF) is a MONTHLY online festival for shorts of various lengths. Online meaning that we have judges who vote on all submissions accepted into the festival. There is no LIVE event currently. A new festival each month beginning on the first and ending on the 30th of the month (with the exception of December when we don't have one but will accept submissions for the January festival).

PLEASE, if you submit to a specific category, please make sure the woman's name in that role is listed on your credits sheet of your FilmFreeway page. It slows us down on judging (and could affect the status of your film) if we have to hunt for it. Thank you.

If you're looking for an exciting live event, we suggest you take a look at and submit to a LIVE award event (inaugural event March 8, 2018), much like the academy awards but for women filmmakers only. Silhouette Awards. Be sure to check it out at: https://filmfreeway.com/festival/SilhouetteAwards

Winners are announced on that date on our Facebook page and by email.

Make sure to LIKE us and follow us on Facebook for updates and winners posted.

Awards & Prizes

Winners can post our laurels for official selection and official winner on anything they would like to use to promote their film.

MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOUR FEMALE CAST AND CREW AN OPPORTUNITY TO WIN -- Either make sure you list them on your submission or by email so we know (if you email put the word FEMALE CREW in your subject line) WE SUPPORT WOMEN IN FILM! So help us do so by listing them.

A very prompt response from the festival and great communication! I wasn't able to attend the actual festival unfortunately. I'll be sure to submit again!

Was honored to see my short Two Pink Lines about prepartum depression getting nomination for best lead actress at WOEFF's. Their commitment is real and they will give chance to no-budget movies from small countries around the globe. Would love official selections featured on Facebook page so they can be linked to. Their communication was great - they gladly answered my questions by email and Facebook.

The fact that they gave my Film a fair judgment says it all. I am a first time story writer and director. It was just an awesome feeling to win in 3 catagories. Thank you so much.

It's nice that a festival is dedicated to the hard work of women. It's an online only type of situation, so very little hype. It would be cool if they had a website and not just a Facebook page. I like the concept behind the festival, just wish there was more to it.

We were delighted to be selected as Best overall film & Best female writer! Although this festival is still in its early stages and doesn't have physical awards or certs yet the mission is what was important for us. They are taking the next steps to push more talented women in film and get that recognition they deserve. I am looking forward to watching this festival grow and hope it becomes a great contender with like minded festivals throughout the filming community! Great start and keep it going!! I would love to see a physical platform for viewing winning films online in the future as well.
