The 10th Annual Vancouver Badass Film Festival is coming in October 2024!
It will be the biggest indie genre / horror community pre Halloween festival yet!

The VBAFF is an international genre film festival for new short and feature films,
script contests, killer genre awards show and other exciting live events.

Based out of the historic Rio Theatre, East Vancouver, Badass 10 promises
events throughout the Commercial Drive area.

The Badass Fest script contest is in its 5th year for short
and feature genre scripts with valuable industry prizes, and
past winners produced by Generativity Productions.

It’s also the only film fest that always features giant reptiles, circus sideshow
performers, fire, burlesque performers and big surprises (will it
be Harleys in the theatre like Badass III or a live wrestling show like Badass 8?).

Awards & Prizes

Short and feature films are awarded in 15 film award
categories and six script contest awards. Five past script contest
award winners have been subsequently produced
by Generativity Productions.

Rules & Terms

Short and feature films produced 2023 forward.

Scripts submitted must be unproduced.

Horror, action, SF, fantasy avant-garde -
