*EL CONTENIDO TIENE QUE SER EN REALIDAD VIRTUAL*

1. LUGAR Y FECHA
La quinta edición del VR FEST MX, el primer festival de realidad virtual en México, a realizarse en noviembre de 2021, en la Ciudad de México.

2. OBJETIVOS
VR FEST MX es una plataforma que fusiona el arte y la narrativa en torno a las tecnologías inmersivas: realidad virtual, realidad aumentada y realidad mixta.
Se recibirán trabajos que sigan las líneas temáticas propuestas para esta entrega o temas afines para la concientización de la crisis climática, sus factores y sus consecuencias.
Temas propuestos:
Comunidades vulnerables
Otras especies animales y sus ecosistemas
Educación ambiental
Luchas sociales por la justicia ambiental
Bioética y crisis climática
Un futuro después de la Crisis Climática

3. ADMISIÓN DE LAS OBRAS
La obra deberá ser en realidad virtual o video 360. La convocatoria está abierta a realizaciones de cualquier nacionalidad. La duración deberá ser de máximo 30 minutos. La obra puede estar en cualquier idioma. En caso de que la obra no sea hablada en español deberá presentarse, para su preselección, una copia subtitulada en español o en inglés o adjuntar los subtítulos en un archivo de texto.

4. PRESENTACIÓN DE LAS OBRAS
La inscripción a la quinta edición del VR FEST MX es gratuita y deberá ser realizada por los productores o realizadores que posean los derechos sobre la obra que presentan.

5. INSTRUCCIONES DE CARGA DE ARCHIVOS
Para ser considerados por el jurado, los contenidos VR deben subirse a YouTube o Vimeo y subirse en la plataforma de VR FEST MX en FilmFreeway https://filmfreeway.com/festival/VRFESTMX (En caso de tener contraseña deberá adjuntarse en la plataforma)

Todos los gastos que genere el envío de obras a la preselección serán por cuenta del interesado. La organización de la quinta edición del VR FEST MX no se hace responsable de los cargos, gastos o trámites o impuestos generados en el envío.
Todas las copias enviadas para visionado pasarán a formar parte del archivo de VR FEST MX.

6. DERECHOS DE AUTOR

La organización de la quinta edición del VR FEST MX presupone que las empresas productoras, productores o directores que se inscriben detentan los derechos de exhibición de las obras que presentan. En cualquier caso, la organización de la quinta edición del VR FEST MX se exime de cualquier responsabilidad que pueda derivarse de la infracción de esta base.

7. SELECCIÓN

El resultado de la selección se comunicará a los inscriptos en noviembre de 2021. Una vez superada la citada fecha sin que se haya comunicado expresamente el resultado de la selección a alguno de los interesados, se entenderá que su obra no ha sido seleccionada y por lo tanto no formará parte de la programación. La programación completa de la quinta edición del VR FEST MX también podrá consultarse en el sitio web www.vrfest.mx

Una vez seleccionada la obra, la misma no podrá ser retirada de la programación.

Si su obra resulta seleccionada, el inscripto deberá proveer a la organización del evento de una copia con calidad de exhibición, tres imágenes de la obra en formato digital de alta calidad, sinopsis y ficha técnica, que será utilizada para su reproducción en el catálogo, sitio web y redes sociales. Asimismo, deberá proporcionar el material informativo que se distribuirá a los medios de comunicación durante la quinta edición del VR FEST MX . El inscripto, cuya obra resulte seleccionada, autoriza a la organización del evento a difundir el nombre, imágenes e información de la película, así como su equipo técnico y artístico, y autoriza a la utilización de un máximo de tres minutos de su película, para los medios de comunicación audiovisuales y spot, como parte de la programación de la quinta edición del VR FEST MX

8.PREMIACIÓN.

El jurado calificador estará integrado por expertos en el desarrollo de contenidos VR.

Se hará una selección de 3 finalistas por cada categoría. De ser elegido, se contactará al participante por correo electrónico.

Los finalistas deberán enviar sus contenidos VR en formato digital para su reproducción en cualquier dispositivo con giroscopio siguiendo las siguientes especificaciones recomendadas por Vimeo y YouTube::

El video debe ser panorámico de 360º equirrectangular.
Si tu video 360 es monoscópico se recomienda una relación de aspecto de 2:1
Si tu video 360 es estereoscópico se recomienda relación de aspecto de 4:1 para cada imagen cilíndrica equidistante, para que su combinación permite una relación de 2:1.

Los finalistas tendrán derecho a 1 pase doble.

Bajo ninguna circunstancia VR FEST MX correrá con los gastos de transporte y/o alojamiento de los participantes.

La decisión del jurado será inapelable.

VR FEST MX premiará al mejor contenido VR de cada categoría:

Premio Nacional CONTENIDO VR
Premio Internacional CONTENIDO VR

El jurado podrá otorgar premios especiales o Menciones Honoríficas a los participantes.
Los contenidos finalistas serán mostrados en la página web de VR FEST MX.
A todos los participantes que resulten finalistas, se les otorgará un reconocimiento que acredite dicha selección.
VR Challenge no tiene cuota de inscripción.

TÉRMINOS

Participar en la quinta edición de VR Challenge significa la aceptación total de la presente convocatoria.
Cualquier cuestión no contemplada en el presente Reglamento, será decidida por la organización del certamen de acuerdo con el reglamento internacional.
El Jurado se reserva el derecho de declarar VR Challenge desierto, si así fuera el caso.

1. PLACE AND DATE
The fifth edition of VR FEST MX, the first virtual reality festival in Mexico, to be held in November 2021, in Mexico City.

2. OBJECTIVES

VR FEST MX is a platform that fuses art and narrative around immersive technologies: virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.
Projects that follow the thematic lines proposed for this installment or related topics will be received to raise awareness of the climate crisis, its factors and its consequences.
Proposed topics:
Vulnerable Communities
Other animal species and their ecosystems
Environmental education
Social struggles for environmental justice
Bioethic and climate crisis
A future after the Climate Crisis

3. ADMISSION OF THE WORKS
It must be virtual or 360 video. The call is open to achievements of any nationality. Limit as to the duration should be maximum 30 min. with the original language or the theme. In the event that the work is not spoken in Spanish, a subtitled copy in Spanish or English should be presented for its pre-selection or attach the subtitles in a text file.

4. PRESENTATION OF THE WORKS
Registration for the fifth edition of the VR FEST MX is free and must be made by the producers or directors who own the rights to the work they present.

5. FILE LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
To be considered by the jury, the VR content must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and uploaded on the VR FEST MX platform on FilmFreeway:

All expenses generated by the delivery of works to the pre-selection will be paid by the interested party. The organization of the fifth edition of VR FEST MX is not responsible for the charges, expenses or procedures or taxes generated in the shipment.
All copies sent for viewing will become part of the VR FEST MX file.

6. COPYRIGHT

The organization of the fifth edition of the VR FEST MX presupposes that the production companies, producers or directors who register hold the exhibition rights of the works they present. In any case, the organization of the fifth edition of VR FEST MX is exempt from any liability that may arise from the violation of this base.

7. SELECTION

The result of the selection will be communicated to those registered in November 2021. Once the aforementioned date has been passed without expressly communicating the result of the selection to any of the interested parties, it will be understood that their work has not been selected and therefore both will not be part of the programming. The complete program of the fifth edition of the VR FEST MX will also be available on the website www.vrfest.mx

Once the work has been selected, it can not be removed from the programming.

If your work is selected, the registrant must provide the event organization with a quality copy of the exhibition, three images of the work in high-quality digital format, synopsis and technical data sheet, which will be used for its reproduction in the catalog, website and social networks. Likewise, you must provide the informative material that will be distributed to the media during the fifth edition of the VR FEST MX. The registrant, whose work is selected, authorizes the organization of the event to disseminate the name, images and information of the film, as well as its technical and artistic team, and authorizes the use of a maximum of three minutes of its film, for the audiovisual and spot media, as part of the programming of the fifth edition of the VR FEST MX

8. PREMIUM.

The qualifying jury will be composed of experts in the development of VR content.

A selection of 3 finalists will be made for each category. If chosen, the participant will be contacted by email.

The finalists must send their VR content in digital format for playback on any device with gyroscope following the following specifications recommended by Vimeo and YouTube:

The video must be panoramic of 360º equirectangular.

If your 360 video is monoscopic, an aspect ratio of 2: 1 is recommended

The finalists will be entitled to 1 double pass.

Under no circumstances will VR FEST MX bear the cost of transportation and / or accommodation for the participants.

The jury's decision is final.

VR FEST MX will reward the best VR content in each category:

International Award CONTENT VR

The Jury may award special prizes or Honorary Mentions to the participants.
The finalist contents will be shown on the VR FEST MX website.
All the participants that are finalists will be granted an acknowledgment that proves this selection.
VR Challenge has no registration fee.

TERMS

Participating in the fifth edition of VR Challenge means the total acceptance of this call.
Any matter not contemplated in these Regulations will be decided by the organization of the event in accordance with international regulations.
The Jury reserves the right to declare VR Challenge desert, if this is the case.
