Urban Film Festival is a 3-day event focusing on educating, exposing, and providing distribution opportunities for the new generation urban filmmaker. Held in sunny Miami, FL every Labor Day weekend, UFF is one of the largest international gatherings of Urban film industry experts, sharpening skills of young filmmakers, allowing them to showcase their masterpieces. At UFF we celebrate culturally driven content, and are proud to be a platform for up and coming urban filmmakers to share the stories of their communities.

Rules & Terms

- You may only submit via Secure Online Screeners. No DVD's/ CD's/ Blu Rays are accepted.

- Films produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

- Accepted filmmakers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits necessary to present their work.

- The jury's decisions are final.

    This festival unlocked a lot of things for me. I waked away feeling accomplished as well as feeling like i knew what direction I wanted to go in as far as distribution. My film “Black Daddy: The Movie” was the inaugural winner of the Jeffrey Legitime Award for Purpose Driven Content. I highly recommend this festival.
