Under the Valley is a film festival born and raised in the Yakima Valley of Washington State. Our goal is to highlight independent film artists, whether aspiring professional, determined student, or casual camera-toting adventurist. We have different length categories and a variety of prizes. Our goal is for this to be an inclusive artistic space which shapes this region's destiny, which we believe can be great. Education. Empowerment. Enrichment.

Prize money dependent on entries, and will be provided to applicants once submissions close. Our goals:

Narrative Feature: $200
Narrative Short: $125
Documentary: $200
New Experiences: $125

This is a non-profit event. All net earnings will go to a scholarship for a local student film-maker, our goal is to accrue a minimum of $450.00 each fall and Spring semester.

This is a radically inclusive event. Any opinions which disparage any unprotected and protected class will not be welcome. All viewpoints, other than hate, are invited.
