The Ikon Awards - film and television awards. Through the awards, Reach A Hand Uganda And Sautiplus Media Hub will seek to award/celebrate (recognize and reward formidable implementers including filmmakers and actors), connect (link participants and their interventions/films/show/series to opportunities for resource mobilization, networking, core organizational development and publicity) and educate (through one-on-one sessions, webinars, online courses and summits from professionals in film industry).

● A film must be by a Ugandan filmmaker
● An entry form naming the intended award recipient(s) and including the signatures of all the credited producer(s) and director(s) is required. Alternatively, copy of the complete cast and crew credits should be attached. This is to ensure that all parties are properly informed, and that agreement on the designated award recipient(s) is settled prior to submission.
● To be eligible for the iKON Awards consideration, a film must have achieved a theatrical release, TV or festival screening regardless of any distribution.
● A short film has a running time of 40 minutes or less while a feature film has a running time of more than 40 minutes.
● Films entering the awards must have been released after 1st December 2023 and Submission materials must have been received by deadline.
● The significant dialogue or narration must be in English, or the entry must have English-language subtitles.
