----------------------------
"The mission of The HB Film Festival is to put independent cinema in the spotlight that both films and their makers deserve"

Unlike other film festivals we will not make any selections until the Final Deadline closes. This means every film that is submitted has got the same chance of being selected.

The HB Film Festival brings to Paisley, Scotland, a quality selection of both local and international shorts and feature movies coming from all over the world and aims to become a cultural gathering for film lovers and professionals, to support the creation of networks between filmmakers and the local communities and to initiate inspiring exchanges between filmmakers and professionals coming from different artistic disciplines."

As a three day event, we offer plenty of screening opportunities for low-budget filmmakers and indie films. As well as live screening there will be networking opportunities and free filmmaking advice from local filmmakers.

Previous Sponsors/ Partners include:

A phenomenal festival and lovely organisers. They care a lot about the filmmakers and put on an amazing event. I wish we could have attended but were stuck in fortress Australia. Gary kindly sent us the trophy we were lucky enough to win in the mail, which meant a lot! Thoroughly recommend the festival and from the photos there seemed to be a lovely atmosphere and triumph of independent filmmakers!

A highly professional festival run by those in the industry. Very high standard of films and fantastic communication all the way though. We were thrilled to have our film nominated for the Best Comedy accolade. Hope to return soon with another film.

Great communication from the start, and clearly a well organised and run festival. Really good program of films and events across the festival. Excited to be nominated for a slew of awards, and chuffed that we walked away with the Best Cinematography (Short Film) award against some stiff competition. Definitely recommended!
