Stella Racca (she/they) is a young queer filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about storytelling from a queer perspective. They care deeply about using their filmmaking platform to tell important stories through documentary and narrative. Her first documentary, Do You Think You're Beautiful? won third place in the 2019 TVO Short Docs Festival. Her most recent narrative film, Phoenix, received numerous awards including Best Screenplay at York University's 2022 Cinesiege Festival and was a Semi-Finalist at Prague International Film Festival.
They are passionate about cinematography. A short narrative film they DPed, Parkway (2022, dir. Marcus Basset), was officially selected at the 2022 BIPOC International Film Festival.
