Southern Oasis Film Festival is a celebration of Filmmakers, by FIlmmakers and true Cinephiles. Whether you shot a guerilla style film or a budgeted film, we want to see it. Southern Oasis Film Festival champions the artists, encourages collaboration and growth! We welcome films from all over the world!

We cant wait to see you at the festival, where the love of cinema knows no bounds. Created by cinephiles for cinephiles, we celebrate the diverse and boundless world of film. At our festival, we embrace the notion that film is an art form that transcends boundaries and genres. Whether it's drama, comedy, horror, documentary, or experimental, we believe that every film has a story to tell and deserves to be shared.

Our mission is simple: to provide a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work and for audiences to experience the magic of cinema in all its forms. We believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, provoke thought, and evoke emotions. That's why we welcome filmmakers from all backgrounds and genres to participate in our festival.

Rules & Terms

Non-English films must be accompanied by English subtitles.
Films with explicit content resembling X-rated material are not permitted.
Decisions made by the judges are considered final.
Screening fees for showcasing films are not covered by the festival.
Refunds will not be provided.

All films that are selected for screening should be sure to have these specifications at a minimum.

    Thank you, Southern Oasis Film Festival for awarding my film 'Nix's Symphony' with 'Best Animated Short!' Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the festival in-person but the communication was outstanding and the festival is run by some of the friendliest people out there. I already have my next film entered for 2025, I highly recommend this festival! :D

    Nice folks who love movies, great venue. No networking opportunities to speak of. No moderated Q&As. No workshops. Film blocks felt rushed.

    Thank you for your comments. Our 2024 festival offered half a dozen hourlong workshops (many of which are featured in the photos above). We also had Q&A's for all feature films and created a dedicated networking space for shorts filmmakers in our lobby after every screening so we would have the time in our schedule to screen as many worthy films from emerging talent as possible. In this space, filmmakers could interact with audience members, workshop leaders, and representatives from many of our sponsors while exchanging contact information.

    Did you visit our info table during the event? Our volunteers had paper copies of our program as well as QR codes that led to our Linktree. We hope you submit next year and take full advantage of all the opportunities we offer--including our new filmmaker's lounge.

    Thanks for selecting "Enter the Room" into your festival. The communication was clear and concise and the festival was kind enough to give me a waiver for my next submission. I wasn't able to attend the event in person, but had a very good experience overall, and will definitely consider submitting future projects to Southern Oasis Film Festival.
