Although I wasn’t able to attend the Seguin Film and Arts Festival in person, my experience with the festival was outstanding. Communication was excellent, and the team was professional, kind, and genuinely supportive of independent filmmakers.
Friends who attended and had their films screened told me how welcoming and well-organized the entire event was — from the venues to the staff and volunteers. It’s clear that this festival truly values filmmakers and the stories they share.
I’m honored that two films I'm associated with were selected to screen at this festival. The first, Transmute is a short horror film I wrote, produced, and shot. It was directed by my good friend and frequent collaborator, Valerie Garza. This film marks her directorial debut. The second film screened is Rooted In Legacy: The Arboretum San Antonio Journey which was recognized with Best Documentary and the Bronze Pecan Award. That was truly an honor. I sincerely hope to attend next year — even if I don’t have a film screening. Highly recommend submitting to this wonderful Texas festival!
