Jennifer Smith lives in San Antonio, Texas. She went to law school at night as a single mother. She served in the Air Force for twenty years as a judge advocate, deploying to the Combined Air Operations Center in Saudi Arabia in 2003 for the shock and awe of Iraqi FREEDOM. She continued as a federal contracts attorney for the Air Force and the VA. Like many of her characters, she juggled family with demanding work and travel on some stage. She made a short documentary, FINDING MY EDGE, nominated at the Cannes World Film Festival, where a young woman takes on the TAHOE200 ultramarathon, now on Amazon Prime. She’s halfway through an MFA at the University of Houston-Victoria. Her feature drama script is about a singer-songwriter with a country music dream who finds a way to make a better life for her and her son, PHOEBE LARK, placed in the Vail, Table Read My Screenplay and Dallas film festivals. Her stories dwell in possibility.
