The Scarlett International Film Festival is a premier platform dedicated to discovering and honoring the next generation of global filmmaking talent. Based in Scotland, SIFF bridges the gap between independent creativity and professional recognition.

Our mission is to provide filmmakers with a high-quality awards experience that celebrates storytelling, technical excellence, and original vision across all genres.

Festival Structure & Filmmaker Experience.

SIFF operates as an Awards Festival, ensuring that every selected filmmaker receives both digital prestige and physical recognition.

1. The Selection & Judging Process.
All submitted films undergo a rigorous review by our international panel of judges. We look for technical skill, narrative depth, and unique artistic voices.

2. The Event & Awards Presentation.
The Scarlett International Film Festival (SIFF) takes place at our official venue: Morrisons Community Room, The Esplanade, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 1SL, United Kingdom

- Private Judging & Awards Selection: Our international panel of judges selects the winners in each category. Winners will be invited along to see their work and collect their certificates.

- Official Recognition: All winners are officially announced at the venue.

- Physical & Digital Awards: Following the event, winners who are unable to make the festival in Kirkcaldy are sent an Official SIFF Certificate of Excellence via post or a high-resolution digital version via email, ready for professional printing and display.

3. Global Digital Premiere
In addition to the physical event, winners are featured on our official website and social media platforms. This ensures your work gains visibility beyond the room, reaching a wider audience of fans and industry professionals.

Why Submit to SIFF?

- Professional Recognition: Earn an official "SIFF Selection" or "Winner" laurel to boost your film’s pedigree.

- Physical Venue: We believe in the power of a real, physical space. Your work is honored in a professional setting, not just an online list.

- All main Category winners will be invited along to Morrisons Community Room, for the event and to recieve their awards.

Join us in celebrating the art of cinema. Submit your project to the Scarlett International Film Festival today and hopefully we see you there on the 30th April.

  • Robert Hamilton

This festival is what we in Australia would call a quiet achiever. Although I was unable to attend - ergo 3 stars networking - our film was treated with respect and the communication throughout was first-rate. I'm so pleased we were a part of it and thank them for the Honorable Mention for our film, The Witchdoctor and the Windmill. I think no-one who has organised the groundwork for a public event and especially an event with a global beat knows the amount of preparation, long hours and grit it takes. These guys are sensational and it shows. Thank you! Robert Hamilton

Congratulations again on your Honorable Mention!
