SUNCINE, the International Environmental Film Festival, was first held in 1993 and is recognized as the leading environmental film festival and the oldest of its kind in the world.
SUNCINE serves as the premier meeting point for environmental cinema, a hybrid festival with both in-person and multi-platform screenings. Its main objective is to promote, disseminate, and showcase environmental audiovisual works to raise awareness about the state of the environment, biodiversity, and the planet's sustainability.
It stands as the largest platform for launching new cinematic talents, offering various options for screening the selected films: in-person at the festival's official cinemas and on SUNCINE+ (the festival's platform) as well as other associated platforms, all free and geolocated for Spain.
