Official Regulations
§1. Organizer
The organizer of the 2nd International Science & Technology Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Festival) is PB TEAM Sp. z o.o., ul. Podole 60, 30-394 Kraków, Poland.

§2. Purpose of the Festival
The aim of the Festival is to promote the development of film art engaged in the discussion about technology, innovation, and their impact on contemporary society.
The Festival encourages submissions of films that present both the positive and negative aspects of technological progress in various fields of life. The films presented will explore how modern technologies shape our environment, lifestyle, and the challenges arising from their rapid evolution.
§3. Nature of the Festival
The Festival is international in scope and open to submissions from around the world — from broadcasters, producers, filmmakers, film students, researchers, scientific institutions, NGOs, public institutions, and online creators. Films may only be submitted during the official submission period.
§4. Submission Criteria
Submitted films must address scientific themes.
Science fiction films are accepted, as well as educational, informational, or inspirational productions. Submitted films must have been completed in 2023 or later.
§5. Film Length
Feature-length documentaries – 60 minutes or more
Short documentaries – up to 60 minutes
Feature-length fiction films – over 60 minutes
Short fiction films – up to 60 minutes
Animations – up to 30 minutes
Artificial Universe – up to 15 minutes
§6. Film Selection
Films are selected for the appropriate competitive categories by the Selection Committee from all valid submissions.
The Committee’s decision is final and requires no justification.
Once the Official Selection is announced, the selected films participate in the competition.
A winner will be chosen in each category. The Grand Prix will be awarded from among all competition films. The creator may receive both a category award and the Grand Prix.
§7. Submitting and Delivering Films
Competition films must be delivered to the organizers within the deadline specified by the Festival. Films may only be submitted via the FilmFreeway platform.
Screening copies must be provided in MP4, MKV, or MOV formats — DCP packages are not accepted. Films must be delivered via WeTransfer, Dropbox, Vimeo (with download enabled), FTP server, or another secure file-sharing platform.
Multiple films may be submitted from a single source.
§8. Submission Deadline
The submission deadline will be announced on the Festival’s official website.
Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
§9. Technical Requirements
All films must be submitted in MP4, MKV, or MOV format, in HD quality (1920×1080).
All films must include English subtitles. Files must be delivered using secure platforms such as WeTransfer, Dropbox, Vimeo, or FTP.
§10. Submission of Documents
All declarations and documents mentioned in these Regulations must be sent electronically to: festival@sciencefilmfestival.pl or by post to the Organizer’s registered address.
§11. Awards
Awards will be granted in each competition category.
The Grand Prix will be awarded to the best film among all categories.
Awards may take the form of statuettes, diplomas, cash prizes, or other distinctions at the discretion of the Organizer.
§12. Copyright
The submitter guarantees that the submitted film does not infringe any third-party copyrights. The Festival organizers are not liable for claims arising from copyright violations.

Once a film has been officially selected for the Festival program, the producer or submitter may not withdraw the film from the Festival.
If a film is withdrawn after the selection announcement, the Organizer reserves the right to: publish information about the film’s withdrawal in official Festival communications,
refuse to accept future submissions from the producer or submitter in subsequent editions of the Festival, charge the submitter for costs incurred by the Festival in connection with the planned screening.
§14. Final Provisions
The Festival organizers reserve the right to change dates, the program, or the Festival regulations in the event of force majeure. All disputes will be resolved by the Festival Organizer. These Regulations are drafted in Polish and English. In case of discrepancies, the Polish version shall prevail.
§15. Promotional Materials
The submitter agrees to provide the organizers with a 30-second excerpt from the film for use in Festival trailers and promotional materials (including the website and social media).
Additionally, the submitter will provide three promotional stills and if available a film poster.
