The Rossland Mountain Film Festival is a 6 day film fest celebrating mountain culture in the small mountain town of Rossland British Columbia. We showcase films at multiple venues around town combined with live music from local and out of area performers. Our events are diverse including youth submissions, rowdy parties, documentary screenings, women's events and speaker series.
Our festival is focused on mountain culture, this includes but it is not limited to skiing, mtn biking, climbing, kayaking, mountaineering, documentaries etc. Our festival is small but growing with nearly 1000 in attendance for 2019 for our 20th anniversary.

Rules & Terms

MUST BE IN ENGLISH
By submitting your film you're allowing us to show your film at our festival and additional affiliated screenings. Some events are free entry while others are paid tickets. Licensing fees can be negotiated, however we are a small festival and have budgets to adhere to and may not be able to pay for certain films submitted. We reserve the right to remove any films from scheduling if we find there is a conflict of interest or content.
Submitted films must be in English or with English subtitles. Films must have content related to mountain culture and lifestyle with a secondary focus on sports including but not limited to skiing, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, kayaking, etc.

    I'm so glad that Doom & Despair played in the 2024 Rossland Mountain Film Fest. Communication was easy-peasy. I just wish that I could have attended! This festival looks like a blast!
