The son of a combat Marine and a school teacher, Robert Flowers is a Mexican American, award-winning Writer/Director. He is also a USA Today Best Selling author under a pen name. His work in thrillers, sci-fi, or horror primarily explores liminal characters who must contend with outside forces and their own inner struggle. And always with a dash of levity. His sports thriller Welcome to Stillwater won Best Thriller series pilot at the Big Apple Film Festival. He’s a Black List-recommended writer.

His Short, The Everlast won Best Sci-Fi at the LA Sci-fi Film Festival. Recently, his short, Honor’s Half-LIfe won Best Thriller/Suspense at the Chandler International Film Festival and was released by DUST in December 2025.

Besides his narrative work, Robert has shot hundreds of heart surgeries all over the US and was part of the team that won an Emmy for the documentary The Latest Procedure. He has never fainted at the sight of blood…except his own.
