Some festival have decide to just cancelled their 2020 edition. At Requiem, we know how hard to make a movie and that most of the time, the festivals nominations and awards are the paycheck for most of the filmmakers. We feel that, even if we will not have any event, you all deserved a shot. Usually we can only select a maximum number of films because we have a maximum of screening hours available and it's always super hard to select or to reject a movie.
Therefore, we announce that every submission will automatically become a 2020 Official Selection and will have the chance to be nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress/Actor and Best Kill for both feature and short films On top of that, we are adding the following categories : Best Horror Documentary, Best Canadian and Local (Quebec) film. All the nominations will be announced on September 19th.
Categories will then have 3 nominees each which will be announced on October 9th
