ABOUT:
REEL CHANGE is a charity film event dedicated to using cinema as a force for humanitarian action and community building.

We encourage filmmakers to submit work across all genres. From comedy to tragedy, documentary to fantasy, funded projects to low-budget independents — reflecting compassion, social issues, resilience, and the power human connection.

Selected films will be showcased at a public screening with all ticket proceeds donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), in support of their life-saving work. By participating, filmmakers become part of a collective effort to transform storytelling into tangible support — where every frame helps make a real difference!

EVENT:
Should you choose to attend, you can expect a program of high-quality short films, guest speakers (such as BAFTA-winning filmmaker Farah Nabulsi), and a chance to network with the filmmakers, producers, agents, and casting directors present.

Previous attendees include:
- Jessica Hynes (Shaun of the Dead, Harry Potter)
- Ezra Elliott (The Batman, Bulletproof)
- David Olaniregun (Star Wars: Andor, Beyond Paradise)
- Jadesola Odunjo (You, Grime Kids)
- Bre Francis (Saint X)
- Tiarnan Doherty (Sweetpea)
- Kirsty Bloom (Supacell, Sex Education)

REEL CHANGE is a non-competitive event focused on impact rather than awards. It offers filmmakers the opportunity to celebrate their work with an engaged audience while contributing directly to a vital humanitarian cause.

All selected films and finalists will be provided with a custom laurel.

Submission Rules:

- Films must have a runtime of 30 minutes or less, including credits.

- Submissions should explore humanitarian and/or humanist themes, including (but not limited to) compassion, social justice, human rights, resilience, dignity, and community.

- All genres are welcome (narrative, documentary, experimental, animation).

- Films may be in any language; English subtitles are required where applicable.

- By submitting your work, you allow REEL CHANGE permission to use your film and related materials (such as posters, trailers and stills) to promote upcoming or past events. This is upon selection only.

- Selected films will be screened as part of a non-competitive charity showcase.
